In Response to Re: Sky Poker UKPC 2015 : Thinking about trying to qualify this week but can only play at the weekend due to work. Will DTD/Sky allow a swap to day 1A if I manage to luckbox a seat? Posted by IH8UButler
Morning I8Butler. (Are you related to I8PALACE?).
For admiin reasons, ALL Sky Poker Qualifiers are being auto-entered into Day 1D, Friday 27th February, & this will be the case for you when you qualify.
However......
Turn up EARLY (an hour or so before play starts ideally) on Day 1A, the Sunday, come see me, or SPT Rich, & we will arrange for it to be swapped to Day 1A.
Was on party poker and there is a freeroll for skys ukpc event with no mention of it being skys tournament is it meant too be like that are there worries about numbers? and if so why not run extra sats on here..
Bit strange that skys big event has no mention of sky on there this is how it looks DTD UKPC social media freeroll
Bit like sky running sats/freerolls for wcoop on here with no mention of stars!
its just one of the things with an event where two online rooms are involved
Sky Poker's efforts are on the main event, thats what they are running satellites for.
the remainder of the festival is being qualified for via DTD and you wouldn't expect their new partner to be pushing the Sky Poker aspect of the festival too much
i'd encourage everyone to follow the relevant people on twitter (search dusk till dawn, party poker uk etc) and facebook ( DTD Sky Poker UKPC is a good group) so you get exposure to all the relevant ways to play events at the festival
i know for example that dtd is planning mega satellites for the main event with big numbers of guaranteed seats from this sunday
the UKPC mini is definitively designed to appeal to the vast majority of players. £100 buy in, a whole week of day ones live and online and a monster guarantee for the buy in (£200,000) with 50 UKPC main seats included

Morning Brian.
I pretty much echo exactly what SPT Rich has said, with one exception, in that the Buy In for the Mini is £100 + £10, not £100.
The situation is perfectly normal & correct.
Wherever possible, I like, & try, to answer such questions openly & honestly. However, the terms of the Contract, or "Partnership Agreement" between DTD & Sky Poker include a clause that states those terms must remain strictly private. This is perfectly normal in these kind of deals, so you can't have a full explanation I'm afraid.
I can tell you that both parties to the deal are very happy with the current arrangements.
The whole DTD - Sky Poker - UKPC thing is extraordinary really, as we are, in erffect, competing sites. But this is the 3rd UKPC (& I hope there will be many more), & there has yet to be a cross word between the parties. Given the dynamics of competing sites (i-Poker, Party, Sky Poker etc), it says a great deal that we have had no issues whatsoever so far.
"....Worries about numbers?...."
Not sure "worried" is the correct word. Working hard to achieve them, for sure. The Guarantees for the Mini & Main are extraordinary, & extremely ambitious. (The G'tee for the Main was doubled, remember, & the Mini needs two thousand entrants). This HAS to be good for all parties - DTD, Sky Poker, & the players, I'd suggest.
Both parties are extremely happy with how things are going, &, to date, the numbers have exceeded expectations considerably.
Sky Poker will continue to focus their attention on the Main Event, exactly as agreed, whilst DTD will focus their efforts wider, on the Festival as a whole.
The Festival starts this Friday, & I hope to be there as many days as possible, starting on Friday. I have been drafted at late notice to do Sunday's 861 Show, so I can't be at UKPC that day, but should be there all other days, God willing.
Fingers crossed it will be another success, & everyone goes away from the Sky Poker UKPC having enjoyed themselves - we try very hard to make our Festivals just that little bit extra special. Even in my own little way, I'll be trying to do exactly that.

Will I be able to enter for the mini day C online or will I have to pay cash at DTD?
DTD have just announced a mega sat programme for the UKPC Main
Just look at the numbers of guaranteed seats!
"It is now less than 2 weeks until the £1,000,000 UK Poker Championships £1K Main Event which takes place live at DTD. We have set a MEGA SAT programme both ONLINE on partypoker and LIVE at DTD to suit all players - with 168 seats GTD in total
The satellite structures and dates are shown below in this table so please share to spread the word, and as a thank you for sharing we have added the Social Media Freerolls on 12th, 19th and 26th Feb for those who help us out."
In Response to Re: Sky Poker UKPC 2015 : Yes that's correct if you know you are gonig to be in from the start, then shop is the best way if you think you might be late, or want to late reg missing early levels, then buy in in person..downside being (possibly) queues, alternate lists etc Posted by SPT
Thanks!
I'm guessing the Saturday lunchtime flight on the 21st will be very popular, so will stump up in advance for it. Just have to make sure I'm not too hungover from the Friday to get there on time
