    brilliant blogging guys, still feeling fresh even though you are over 8 hours into today's play. How many do you think will get through today? I'm guessing at 130

    89 are through before today

    about 20% get through a day so that would make 120

    maybe 200-225 back tomorrow total

    What a day, we were short on qualifiers but scraped the £1M GTE, with Samuel Trickett again being the 1000th entry! Because we hit the £1M GTE, the 16 players who won £1K seats for Sky UKPC in live club events will be able to carry them over rather than have them added to the prizepool.

    I would just like to say on behalf of DTD and Sky, thanks for supporting us again, and huge thank you for all the staff who made today happen. With so many players in the £1K main and rammed to capacity, of course, we were unable to start the 8 max, so I have spent the last hour consulting with players and decided to run the 8 Max tomorrow at £500+£50 buy-in, £50,000 GTD (so half the buy-in but same number of runners). Details of 8 Max;

    Day 1A Sat 3pm
    Day 1B Turbo Sun 12pm
    Day 2 3pm
    50,000 chips / 45 minute clock

    Julian Thew has taken a couple of hits

    the first a standard AK <QQ to double a shortie up and then he was all in pre versus Wesley James, recently moved to the table

    QQ v KK. Julian with the Kings. In a reversal of the natural order of things, Wesley spiked a Queen

    meanwhile i have been hovering over tikay's table on bustout watch

    he has 50,000 at the blinds above

    natalie bromley is also short on the same table


    there are around 200 left with one level left to play tonight

    you've all seen busy card-room venues, but this has been manic today. good, of course, but a weekend of comparative peace and quiet with a few tables around the place spare will be fun

    rumours that after enabling the event to hit the guarantee that it is to be renamed the "ryan spittles invitational ukpc" are presently unfounded

    I've seen on DTD site that Roseeeee has gone out........
