So if the fella who shoves first hand then repeats the move for the first 2, 3, 4+ hands of a game (as happens from time to time in games I play)... how many hands do we give it before we consider calling with less than QQ+? And when (if?) we do consider calling, how wide do we open our calling range? Posted by shakinaces
The likelihood of anyone at the table holding QQ+ is about 1 in 6. If the villain keeps shoving his 100BB stack in it's a suicidal play. I wouldn't open the range at all: you don't want to call him with a pair of nines only to bust out to someone else with a premium.
Snap AKs and QQ+, think about JJ....probably fold AQ. Though vs a complete random, and if you're in a punting mood, might sometimes call with as low as AJs, as you do see some funky shoves early doors. Posted by hhyftrftdr
this is good advice if your feeling lucky call only if you have the br if not fold

come on that is just wrong if someone is open shipping everyhand which occasionally happens why would u not adapt your range, your stat regrading q-q+ irrelevant since the worse scenario is villian ships utg and u are next to act so only 4 players behide so only 1 in 10 they hold q-q+ IMO jj-99 is a snap call only negative is if villian been shoving everyhand u probably will not have him covered for bounty
