Its not quite Vegas but i qualified for the SPT grand final in 2013 via a micro sat after playing for only 2 weeks, i was terrified on the way down but when i got to my table and started playing the guys picked up i was a nervous newby and started chatting to me. They were some of the friendliest people i have ever met so instead of lasting 2 minutes i was in for about 7 hours and came around 130th. If i was going to Vegas i would not mind who was on my table so long as i enjoyed it as much as i did at the DTD
Well - may sound mushey but it would genuinly be the sky poker team! As a purely recreational player I would not be expecting any run deep but would be there for the pure enjoyment.
If I had the beautiful Jules, Laura and Anna on one side, the funny Stapes and Orford on the other, Cheeky chappy Ryan crushing it in front of me and Mr Channing himself and TK talking about the good old days and going off topic more than playing a hand (Super nits) I am sure I would have a great time and would be so memorable. If a someone busts and it is not me - A guest appearance from RastaFish would not go a miss!!
After all - most of us play poker for the pure love of the game - and it is great personalities like this that would make it a table to remember :-)
Enjoying the show as always - Even my little one is being cheeky and trying to watch xx
Having played in main event with Sky a few years ago. My tip for the Viva Las Vegas players is:-
The main event has 2 hour blinds so you can pick your moments to play your cards, after all the main event is a marathon and not a sprint. Be patient and enjoy the the poker.
My tips for Las Vegas would be short and sweet - don't try and squeeze everything into a short trip. Better to do a few things well than a lot of things in a rushed manner. Also it leaves you with something to come back for next time.
As for players on my starting table; Channing obviously as he'd at least try and start some conversation. Vicky Coren also for entertaining and intelligent table chat. Marc Wright just to watch how a fellow Cornwall-based player seems to build chips in every big event he plays, and Kara Scott, just to look at!
Loving the show as usual. IT's my Tuesday fix. Mrs goes to Spanish classes EVERY Tuesday. Not sure why tho as she grew up in Madrid!
Tips for Vegas? Well for me it's firstly to try and sat-in! I'd LOVE to go to vegas with Skypoker. So I'll be trying my utmost over the next few weeks.
Who would I like on my table in Vegas? Personally, I'd like people who are there for the craic (pronounced crack) & banter. Ambo Neil Channing woud be first on my list....then .. Negreanu...Elky..Trickett..Boatman...Esfandiari..Hellmouth..Oh and Scotty77. Well I wouldn't wanna be first out would I?? ;-))
ok I did it I am in the 10K semi on sunday, I was last for ages after s bad hand early on, but stuck on in with deep stacks and slow blinds. Never give in

If you're on a casino crawl down the old strip
Be aware the Establishment with a neon sign showing a lady cracking a whip.
May just cost you $20 dollars to leave.
It certainly isn't a casino as we found out at the end of our crawl.
The tip is don't take your partner it's a strip joint.
I haven't heard the end of it! My partner still thinks our visit was planned not an accident!
