Hey you guys,

Tonight is a special show, you know it's our last on our home channel, but definately not the last of SkyPokertv, and whilst we have a whole new exciting adventure in front of us, it is only right to celebrate 8 years of Channel 861 and give it a proper send off! You have played as big a part in the show being what is was, as we have, and we as always would love to hear from you tonight!

So hopefully you can share your memories with us
The best guests on the show, funniest moments, what you loved most about the show....
We are giving away 2 amazing prizes tonight; 2x £110 seats into Sunday's Super Roller, where you could take down around £5000 for winning!!! All contributions to the show before 11.45pm will go into a draw (from a hat? clear plastic box? Clive?!Tikay's show!?????)

CAPTION COMPETITION for this photo:

skyopen@bskyb.com
#skypokertv

We will of course be watching you on those poker tables tonight as well!  We will have some MasterCash action, Vegas Sats and hands from our Main Event of the night; the 10k Bounty Hunter.  It will be the final table of the Bounty Hunter that will be the last bit of poker to be played out on 861, so grab yourself a seat to make history!

Orford had another gig tonight, or he would be here also, I am looking for a cardboard cutout of him!!

More than anything we are grateful for years we have had entertaining and educating you in your homes, so we really want to make the show tonight a celebration. I for one have so many moments that make me smile :)

Myself and Mr Kendall are Looking forward to hearing from you,

enjoy!

much love, and thank you :)

A&T xxx

ps. If you do feel a little sad tonight just wait til you see the strange colour of my hair, will cheer you up!

This show is staying on the Sky+ forever.

I've already said my bit via Tweeterer and here.

Can't continue right now because I've just been chopping onions.

Good luck tonight guys and enjoy it. Sorry I can't be there- (god, starting to sound like some Oscar nominee who's busy filming, hark at me) but I hope to be tuning in at some point to listen to Tikay slate me, for old time's sake.

I'll next see you all on Tuesday 31st on the Sky Sports show.

But thanks to everyone who has enjoyed, participated in, supported and watched 861 over the years. I cannot say enough how much I appreciate the input you've all made to the channel and how it just wouldn't have worked without you lot.

First hour tonight...the final table of my 9pm BH win last night?

Just putting it out there... ;-)

    Hi Anna & Tony
Hope you have a box of tissues to hand.
Unfortunately won't be watching as i'm playing in the PLO8 league games and my laptop cant handle 4 tables and the live stream.
No doubt i'll record it for later viewing.

Best wishes to all involved on the show over the years.

This won't get read out, but the funniest moment occurred on a live show when Trev Harris was the poker analyst. A player made a wimpish fold, and when asked about the player's fold Trev said: "Frankly, he was a pu ssy!"
Everything went quiet for a time (I can only imagine the director was off-camera making frantic throat-slashing 'go to commercial' gestures), the cameras went off for about a minute, then Trev came back on and said: "In the last hand the player played like a pussycat when what was needed was a lion."

Nice try Trev, but we all heard what you said.

One that can be read out.

One of the most memorable moments was a hand played in the (first?) sky poker cash game. Neil Channing folded a straight against Rob Young, who was raising and re-raising like a wild man almost every hand. Neil was only losing to one hand, 68.

Neil had K6, Rob had QJ.

Board ran out 345T7 and Neil folded to Rob's re-re-raise getting about 4/1 odds.

It was memorable because, the way Rob was playing, it was quite unbelievable that Neil could fold this hand.

Hi all IV been watching channel and playing on site since more or less the beginning of sky. And have played most of SPTS over time done ok in a few to but my overriding memory of TV shows are the chemistry of Richard and Tony bouncing off each other some of there antics over time have had me in stitches. Having met most of the presenters I would like to wish each and everyone of you we'll in future. I know it's not the end but I think the community spirit that has been built up will suffer long term but we will see. As one of first members of the Hitsquad team I have found many new and good friends from my time on sky. For that I would like to say thank you. Bit long winded but all the best going forward and have a great show tonight. Cheers Colin

    hi anna, lo TK

thanks for all the shows,, they might be finished but it doesn't stop you attempting master cash.
(i'm poor with names so correct me if i'm wrong)

my favourite guest on the show was not so much a guest but a pro that has recently finished, mr channing himself, there is not a single person i know of who reminds people about the mini in a funnier way, " if you playing the main, PLAY THE MINIIIIIIII".

The funniest moments are when you are attempting to pick out names at random for the prizes. wonder how clive is? Did you clear up the mess after your crystal maze fans?

another great thing i like about the show is the way you attempting to pronounce the table names, you used to call me craig "cu"12 now it's pronounced like it should be craig "C.U."1.2, the one name we'll never know is hh

My greatest moment of all is non other than anna fowler master cash, especially when it's myself and borin loner along side you.

Unsafe to read comments have been coloured red

I think a #weareallchoppingonions is appropriate tonight, although you two need to wait until after the show otherwise we're going to have flood alerts up and down the country.

The live shows have been the best regular adult educational entertainment I have ever seen, so much so I could even put up with a few hours of sporting cross-sell (as long as Neil Channing was on hand to deliver his latest pearls of wisdom).

Playing on SkyPoker always seemed a little flat the non-show nights in comparison. And now every night will be a non-show night it just isn't going to be the same.

And I'm not going to subscribe to Sky Sports for their meagre alternative offering.

Thanks everyone involved in the live shows for giving us such a wonderful time. And meeting up with so many of you at live tournaments just cemented the bond that was generated with Sky Poker. It was truly a great gig. And having regular players from the site on the show as well, just wow.

And for the final, nay, ULTIMATE show we have the two ultimate performers in Anna & Teeks: SkyPoker TV legends. That's not to undermine the quality of Rich & Jen, Jules & Scotty, Laura & Stapes etc etc, who have also been supremely great viewing, but hey, here we have the immortals, literally in one case, figuratively in the other.

We understand the corporate necessities that has led to the demise of this great institution, and we can hope and pray that what follows will provide us with a soupcon of that experience, but it cannot be replaced. I believe the new owners have underestimated the importance of the community aspect to SkyPoker, but all I can do about it is vote with my feet. So I'll be taking some time out to reflect, and reminisce.

I wish everyone who has been involved in these shows the best possible future, you've certainly delivered some spectacular results so far.

A snippett i remember from one show.

It may have been James & Carlo??

They were looking at a hand with a player whose name was something like "onelegleft" and the comments about limping were hilarious.

Jimmynoleg? Carlo would always crack up when watching hands involving him! And of course his 'hose me down' moments....

Have a great show tonight guys. Shame 861 is ending, but hopefully onwards and upwards for everyone involved.

I can't remember who the presenters were but I recall one occasion when a player with a very funny, but unbroadcastable, name was playing. The verbal contortions they used when they had to mention him and their struggles to keep a straight face were priceless.

A happy memory - one of many.

    Thanks for the shows guys.

I remember Carlo recounting the tale of how he ate several breakfasts in a prop. bet, only to be presented with a ridiculous mound of toast when finishing the final plate.

Recent highlights included the Moorman show and the Cash Game reloaded shows with Ross' He folds sets' Jarvis.
