He was mistakenly only dealt one card and bet his way out of it?  That card was 'The Rules To Contract Bridge.'

Actually do they still have that card in a usual pack of cards or am I really showing my age/how young I was when I started mucking around with pieces of plastic?

Competition is closed and Tikay will be happy to know we saved money.

Martin had 6c 7c and is wearing a red t shirt.

He might have only had a flush draw but he found a huge pair on the turn to make that bet.  Bet the villains a tad tilted after the show.

    WP Martin.

I am afraid it looks as though Nico has bust. Last time I checked on him he was hovering around 10k bu tnow his seat is empty. It isn't 100% as he may have been moved but it does not look good.

Brett is having a tricky patch too and is now down to about 25k. That is still 30 BBs so no need to hit the panic button just yet.

Better news for Martin who has soared over 100k and still looks ice cool.

Tikay goes for a nap and it all starts going wrong, I'm sending Dan to wake him up.

However, I arrive at the table just as Brett has his last 10k in the middle with AQ v KK.

    Flop is J 6 7

    Turn A

    River 2

Up to 24k going to 500/1000/100 after Dinner

Martin has also taken a hit to his stack and is down to 45k.

Thankfully Tikay will be back after the 90 minute dinner break which the players are now on.

    Evening all.

For the record, I was not "taking a nap", I was working out, in the gym.

Pretty sure I'll soon get Brett & Martin up over 100,000 each, just you wait & see.

Sam is currently on his dinner break, I expect him back in the next 4 or 5 hours.

    Martin, 40,000.

He is on a table adjacent to Little Danny & Scotty Nguyen, with Phil Hellmuth a few tables away.

Someone has been winding up Hellmuth, who is slowly building a head of pressure, ready to explode at any moment.

Look, I do what I do, you do what you do, OK?

I've won 60 Tournaments, how about you?

Do you know who I am?

If I had the time, I'd rail him for the next few hours.  When that volcano erupts, it could be spectacular.

    Brett 23,200

I arrive to see Brett in the Big Blind, facing an UTG raise of 2,500.

Brett, at the poker table, does things at his own pace. That's slow. Very slow. Earlier today, he almost had the clock put on him TWICE in one hand. (Just the once in the end).

Eventually, he moves all-in. Which is handy, as I get to know his exact stack size. "Count" or something similar says the angry UTG raiser.

    "20,800" says the Dealer.

Mr Angry eventually folds, & so Brett now has 23,200 or so.

With 80 minutes of today's penultimate level remaining, Blinds are 500-1,000/100.

Next up, 600-1,200/200, but that's 90 minutes away yet.

    80 minutes remain, then a 10 minute break*, so that's 90 minutes.

See you when you have finished dinner, in what, 4 hours?

    * 20 minutes really, but that would not work.

Just seen Michael Kane, a guy with real style, he has 85,000.

    James Rann has around 30,000.

    Martin has 47,000.

    That's fine, plenty time.
