Jimmy White played yesterday, and finished with around 35,000 as I recall.

We interviewed him, but whether it survived edit and vetting remains to be seen.

There must be a whole load of snooker/poker puns in prospect, but I will rise above such nonsense and leave that stuff to you boys. Form an orderly cue please.

Play has commenced after the 90 minute din-din break.

    Blinds are 500-1,000/100.

    Good luck Daren.

30 minutes into the level, and Daren could use a hand - 18,000.

Not shove time yet, but it may be soon.

The tide has turned, we are back on the way up.

    30,000.

50 minutes of the level remain, and Day Three is looming into sight.

The tide turned again, with 5 minutes left of Level 9, Daren has 21,100.

    We swing, we swong.

The next level will be the final level of Day 2A.

    Final break of the day.

Long days these, takes some concentration, but Daren has been zoned in all day.

The atmo in the room is noticeably more serious and tense now.

Those who played today - and survive - get a day off tomorrow. They'll need it.

    Level 10 has commenced.

Seem to remember that Daren won his package from a £7 satellite. He has had some fun from that £7, come what may.

Daren went for the double up, all in pre flop.

    Villain - J-J

    Daren - A-Q

    Here we go then.

Blank - blank- blank - blank.

    Boo.

Just had a bit of a cheek flapper. Walked into the room and his seat was empty. In fact, his whole table had disappeared. So that's good. Probably.

It's not easy to find an individual amongst 800 densely packed players, but eventually, there he was, sitting comfy, behind his 40,000 stack. Phew.

    An hour's play remains today.

He will need a 2xUp at some stage, but to make day three of the WSOP Main is a significant tick on anyone's poker CV.

    Play has ended.

He had 30,000 when I was ejected from the room as is custom at close of play. Fingers crossed no further accidents ensued.

My battery is down to 1% too, so that's me done.

Daren is through with a relatively short stack, but he's through, that's the main thing.

His table for Day 3 has started to take shaoe, but will have qualifiers from Day 2C slotted in to the odd numbered seats

    Brasilia Table 42
    1
    2 Tyler Witteman (USA) 181400
    3
    4 Alex Tran (USA) 194500
    5
    6 DAREN MORETON (GBR) 27200
    7
    8 Timothy Buxbaum (USA) 75600
    9

He'd better bring some headphones as Mike Matusow is on Table 43 which I assume will be next door. Tables are being set up in Amazon & Brasilia, plus Miranda. Did Miranda get asked if she consented to this?

Witteman has almost $100K in recorded live cashes, but nothing at all since 2010 when he picked up $42K finishing 10th in a $2500 WSOP 6 Max Event.

Most of Alex Tran's cashes are of a similar vintage, but he did cash in the 2014 ME (576th for $20K) and picked up $900 at a WSOP circuit event in LA back in March.

I can find no Hendon Mob reference to Timothy Buxbaum at all.

    Morning all.

Apologies for the abrupt ending last night. There was no mains power available in the Media Centre due to an electrical fault, my lappie battery gave up, & then my I-Pad battery did likewise.

BIG problems all day yesterday here with wifi, Ethernet & mains power, and laptop batteries are not designed for 16 hour days.

Anyway, all is tickity-boo this morning.

"....Tables are being set up in Amazon & Brasilia, plus Miranda. Did Miranda get asked if she consented to this?....."

Curiously, the "Miranda" Room is actually.........the Poker Kitchen.

It's way too easy to knock the WSOP, (or Sky Poker or anyone else for that matter), & we want these huge fields, but I'm not sure I'd want to play a WSOP Main Event in a cafeteria, especially given how much rake is charged.

That aside, WSOP have done a magnificent job again is year, & anyone who suggests otherwise is not living in the real world & has no experience of business or running events.
