Nice one phantom. I came out late in the draw so paused to check who was left, that's about as much fun as I'm allowed these days :)

Hotwheals, Gerard called you out on the call out thread..,.

    Game done

    Spinky 0 v 2 Boxster

Was a bit lucky esp on first game when I hit straight flush over spinky's nut flush.

    Ha

At least you had that much fun. As the last match announced all I got was the excitement on finding out if I was home (yep) or away.

Once again an exemplary show from P66 - vwp.

Interesting how your draw has thrown up some interesting ego matches

    1. Ego free: Lars vs Rose
    2. Ego fragile: Dohhhhhhh vs Jac (can we declare that a draw in advance to save the pain for the loser)
    3. Ego overload: GELDY vs the huffmeister (match was rigged obv so let's have pistols at dawn)

    good luck all

    btw Phantom66
should a winning player become unfortunately deceased before the following draw is made does the loser get to go through?

Likewise I'm not intending in following in the footsteps of that other eminent mathematician Galois. Besides I'm a bit older than he was and hopefully better at ducking at the required moment given all the practice I've had.

Évariste Galois (French: [evaʁist ɡaˈlwa]; 25 October 1811 – 31 May 1832) was a French mathematician born in Bourg-la-Reine. While still in his teens, he was able to determine a necessary and sufficient condition for a polynomial to be solvable by radicals, thereby solving a problem standing for 350 years. His work laid the foundations for Galois theory and group theory, two major branches of abstract algebra, and the subfield of Galois connections. He died at age 20 from wounds suffered in a duel.

Are you also an eminent mathematician Gelders?

As you were left in the bowl at the end, at the moment I paused (6 left) you would have been able to experience the same levels of interest as I... Perhaps next time :)

    Good luck all.

Why let the facts get in the way of a good story eh Mike?

You even managed to call out my excitement fallacy because as you rightly say I had as much as you plus more. But for an ego as big as mine it's never enough.

    Q 8 = new nuts ;-)

Was good fun, answered the phone then loaded your 3rd table, but it had literally just finished, didn't even see the hand....
