JP has been very quiet & subdued today. I assumed he was, you know, busy, pre-occupied with Priority matters, da de da.
I last saw him at around 9pm last night. We had been "mine hosting" the qualifiers, & our ears were bleeding from a DJ who was blasting music out of a bank of Marshall Amps at 150 decibels.
We are here on duty, to work, so I slid away dutifully at 9pm & took to my bed so as to be fully ready to serve Sky Poker's qualifiers, & audience, today.
It was Natterley that piqued my interest, she seemed quiet & subdued, too. Not like Natterley at all, she talks for England. Adam was in bad shape, too, as, I now realised, were several other members of the team, including Tennis Bloke & Alvez.
Then she said it, & the penny dropped.
"Last I saw of JP at 5am this morning, after a few dozen rum based drinks, was him, arm in arm with 2 members of the USA 2015 Swimsuit Competition, heading towards the beach on a segway"
"A Segway, JP on a segway?", I asked?
"A segway" she repeated.
"Well I KNOW what a segway is, woman. But JP, @ 5am, with 2 nubile swimsuit contestants, heading to the beach. On a seqway?"
"Yes yes".
My lips are sealed, I shall say no more. There I was, tucked up in bed by 9.30pm, ready to serve Sky Poker as well as I'm able, & then that story of debauchery reaches my ears.
I shall say no more, don't want to start any rumours.
