It's quite surprising how results swing & swong in these, & 25 DYM's is too short to take any meaningful inference from. You & me are not sprinters, we are marathon men, we can stay all day.
Dame Twaddle would, I'm sure, have liked to have made it a 100 or 500 game challenge, but that would have excluded too many players. Anyway, it's just a bit of fun & we know that this is a a thread where we don't take ourselves too seriously.
Well ploppers, I played live for the first time lastnight in a charity event.
There were about 27 entries and it was a 50 euro rebuy. I managed to finish 4th which i'm happy with ...got my money back.
I cant say I will be rushing back though it wasnt really my idea of entertainment, most were regs and they werent really my type lets say! They appeared to think they were good players but I didnt rate most of them. I think I will be sticking to the online game . Glad I tried it though.

This could be applied to a lot of casino regs, they are normally the ones who moan about online being rigged.....

Yes there was moaning about players being too tight (ie me), shaking of heads when players played bad hands, almost all were very bad losers, convos about being barred from nightclubs, basically trying to be real lads and poker experts.
Perhaps Im a snob but all pretty pathetic imo. Its easier ignore that when your playing online but live your in their company so can be a bit awkward ignoring it. The word dodgey is how I would sum most of them up which unfortunately confirmed my expectations!
Im sure I will play live again some day and maybe my opinion may change a bit.
Aimed to just about finish off my set of 25 today but totally failed as the local zoo were having a "Locals" weekend, so I popped along and saw what I can only assume are some of Macac's long lost relatives?
