Hi, I'm going to start the "SPONSORS AND COMPETITORS" HEADS UP CUP earlier this year (Will make draw on 1st Sept 2016), so that it is not as rushed as last year.
If you are either a COMPETITOR, or a SPONSOR that has made a pledge for the TLB2016 charity initiative, then you are eligible to enter.
If you haven't sponsored yet, but would like to, please post your pledge on this thread (I will not start collecting sponsor money until 1st January 2017.)
If you are already a competitor or sponsor please post here if you would like to be entered into the Heads Up competition.
There are two fully engraved trophies (Silver Cups) available (one to keep, and one that is passed around each year)
If you want to enter and haven't made a pledge yet, you can do so here.
I will post all the rules etc shortly, although it's pretty much the same as last year (based on the great idea of Phantom's)
Registation will close once we have 16 entries (first come first served) or 1st Sept, whichever is sooner.
Regarding the rules for this Heads Up comp. It's pretty much the same as last year, but for those of you that are new to it, see details below:
On 1st Sept 2016 I will make the draw for the first round, and there will be two weeks to arrange the fixtures by posting on the TLB2016 Heads Up thread, which I will create on 1st Sept when I draw the first round fixtures.
There is no cost (except the £1.05 entry fee for each SNG). No prize money at stake (except for the standard £2 per SNG for the winner.) So it's just for fun and pride really, and of course the most coveted Fully Engraved Silver Cup. :=)
When all results are in for the relevant round, I will make the draw for the following round using this site:
There is a slight change to last year, in as much as, all games will be £1.05 NLHE SPEED SNG's. (5min blinds) The Turbo (2 min blinds) were deemed too quick by most players that I spoke to.
Please use the TLB2016 Heads Up thread that will be created on 1st Sept 2016 for arranging fixtures AND posting results.
Firstround will be best of five.
Quarter Finals will be best of five.
Semi Final will be best of seven.
FINAL will be best of nine. (Must win by two clear games (For FINAL only), if it somehow manages to go to 9-9, then it's sudden death)
