    You seem to think £8600 is a lot of money, I wonder how much rake would be paid if just 1 player stayed and earned 10,000 points a month over 10 years, anybody want to guess or work it out.

    It's not just Sky Poker though Gary, when signing up to Sky Poker, players automatically then have accounts with Sky Bet, Sky Vegas, Sky Casino, Sky Bingo etc, & of course there is a common wallet.

    So the factors in this equation are "average value per year to SB&G", & "average lifetime value to SB&G", these are in addition annual & lifetime to poker.
     
    When a "first Client Sky Poker" (say, someone who signs up to Sky Poker & then uses other parts of SB&G) then spends money elsewhere on the SB&G sites, Sky Poker derive benefit.
     
    Acquisition & x-sell is a well-developed & very important theme in online gaming, & looking at these Promos in one dimension misses the bigger picture.

    I still personally believe the 6 seats offered to a pool of 60+ players was over generous but I don't begrudge the players who got the benefit of the promotion.

    Hey Rose, The moral of this is to shop around for promotions. Im sure you will make it to dtd but if you dont i should be able to get you in to 220 tourny in nottingham around April/May. Not quite ukpc but its a very decent weekend tournament.

    This is standard business practice to offer deals to potential new customers. If I got upset at the SKY TV package deals available to new customers, I would be permanently upset and as for DFS sales.......

    We all have the option of a deal when we join (think I got £10) but deals to new customers don't take anything from me. It just increases the businesses sustainability.

    I suppose it is human nature to be jealous when someone gets something that we don't but I learnt many years ago that negative emotions only make me feel worse.

    FWIW I think this is abit over generous, but I guess its sky cash and they can do what they want with it.

    the 7-30 one tonight has 4 entrants so far! I hope they can all attend!

    We can look forward to the 20K billionth hand freeroll with />1K? players.

    i was thinking the same !rishrose and i think tikay maybe missing the point!

    i think it would be a good idea to do some freerolls for the regulars to use up the useless points we have all have accumulated 

    maybe 10,000 points to enter , insuring that the players puting in the hours and rake to the house get a bit back!

    i also think players already quilified should not be able to enter future freerolls and satalittes , giving other players more of a 

    chance and guaranteeing more players at the events
