As Day1c heads into the evening, more of the regular faces are coming, or, in some cases, going.
"smoki3" just bust the Main, with a whole series of horrible beats, back to back, so he's heading home to Cwmbran, in South Wales.
He's in Highway Civil Engineering, which must be a dream job for anyone these days, so we spent a while comparing the relative merits of tarmacadam wearing courses. Fascinating, really.
Meanwhile, recent arrivals here, presumably playing tomorrow, include Pokey (Chris), Andrew1947 (Andrew, surprisingly), & a man I've not seen in ages, CTBN, aka Colin the Hippo.
I have a bit of banter with CTBN, but all joking aside, I love him to bits, a real man, who takes life's beats in his stride. So I was saddened to hear he has been really quite unwell, emergency operations & all sorts, & over 8 months "on the club" from work.
He seems to be recovered now, which is a relief, & he looks very well indeed for a man of 72.
I've made a very last minute decision to play UKPC on Saturday (arriving Fri evening) - will it be possible to buy-in directly via Sky or will I have to do it at the casino?
