Hi Tikay, Have you managed to stay off the coffee? Fine effort if you have under all that pressure Is Brett Angell the ex footballer? started at pompey and played at a few other league teams? He was a "big unit" as they say. Other than that, I hope all the Sky poker players have enjoyed the experience, im very envious, and good luck to all those left in today. Posted by pompeynic
Hi Nick,
No, this is a different Brett Angell, Newcastle lad I believe, won a UKIPT last year.
And yes, I've managed to stay clear of the lattes whilst up here (with some difficulty), not had one since January 16th, & have adhered to my diet of Ryvita, white meat & fruit, bla bla. Am definitely feeling much better as a result, & have shed almost 2 stones in the process. Very kind of you to ask.

Good to hear, I'll attend to it soonest, & try & get today's Comp up, too.

Yesterday was VERY difficult to update, due to sheer number of people in the Club, & the need to look after players & Staff as need be, the near impossibility of using 6 laptops balanced precariously on a coffee table in a severely confined area, & sharing 2 plug sockets, as well as my requirement to send a Daily Blog up to Head Office for Uploading, and also an internal report of proceedings for internal use only, & filming a few pieces to camera for SkyPoker TV. So apologies it was not what we or you had hoped, but hopefully, today will be a little more work-friendly, & we'll be able to do a little better. Must say, Wednesday thro Saturday have exhausted even my energy, it was a tougher 4 days than I can recall in many a year, but it should get easier from here on in. You have the seat & table draw, so if you want any updates on anyone particular, let us know & we'll see what we can do. Posted by Tikay10
You and SPT have been fantastic these past couple of days. As you may or may not have seen, I did post a link to the Benny Hill theme tune. It was in poor taste but was meant in the nicest possible way, it was just the image that popped into my head when reading about the bedlam at DTD. It was probably the last thing you want to see while you are being run ragged, trying to sort out player's problems as well as trying to provide regular updates, so for that I apologise.
The sheer volume of players heading to DTD can only be a good thing though. The UKPC must be one of the most popular live MTTs in the UK now and it's great to see.
Best of luck to all that are left and keep up the great work with the updates!
Today's Live Update is trundling along a little better, you can see it HERE
It's a good deal easier today (so far), with just Dan, Tighty & myself encamped in Trickett's Room, plenty of room & less interruptage, & so we can get on with the tasks in hand a little better.

Ha, no need to apologise mate, when something is well-intended, never a need to apologise.
I'll be honest, it was utter bedlam here, for a variety of reasons, & some under the radar problems arose which disturbed me somewhat (don't ask), & so yes, a few mistakes arose.
I honestly don't recall a more testing 4 or 5 days in all my time at Sky Poker, but as dear old Elton sung, I'm Still Standing.
Former boxer Spencer Oliver has been knocked out. On a board of 5d 7d 9s both his and seat 7's stacks go in. Oliver Tc 8s Villain Td 3d Turn is a swing and a miss of 5h But the river is a haymaking Qd Posted by SPT
A real monster clash of premium holdings for a 60k pot at 500/1k, what a fish that villain eh : )
Unfortunately I lost momentum after this and bust at the end of level 14 trying to spin up a stack for day 2.
Was great to share a table with Spencer tho, a fun guy to have at the table.
Great to meet a lot of the sky lot and put faces to names.

EssexPhil just 4 or 5 bet with K-K, & ran smack into J-J.
As Phil has now left the premises, we can reasonably surmise a degree of outdrawage arose.
He's smiling, as ever, proper bloke.

Thank you 10x3
p.s. Does Tikay's template answer qualify?
Thanks Guys.
