I took a rebuy and it cost £11 are sky charging £1 to rebuy ?

    Absolute disgrace if they are.if I knew that I wouldn't play the site.would have to be a mug to play on a site charging rake for rebuys

    Snuffer.most people who play rebuys.take between 3 and 5 rebuys counting add on.on sky that would be paying between 30 and 50% rake.
    No one can beat those odds
    And if sky don't make the gtd.why are you worried.it's up to them to set it at the right level.

    I don't see the argument re rake on rebuys. If you play a £33 freezeout, you pay £3 rake. If you play an £11 rebuy, and rebuy twice, same result-£30 in prizepool, £3 rake. If anything, rebuys take longer than other tournaments.

    I can see an argument for reducing rake in speeds/hypers, as they are over quicker-however, Sky has (so far as I am aware) always charged rake on rebuys (with the exception of occasional individual MTTs).

    Sky has very few rebuys in comparison to other sites.

    With respect, you are not adding the £10 into the prizepool each time. The rake is 9.09%, exactly the same as for MTTs

    The way you are looking at it is wrong mate ie no diff between a £33 freezeout or rebuy paying £10 plus £1 plus £1 plus £1 for a rebuy.
    Ive been playing poker for a long time now.and I don't know another player who would pay rake on rebuys/ad on s live or online.

    Been playing for about 15 years. There was a time when Sky were out of step with this, but not now. There are still some sites that charge lower rake on rebuys, but not many. Here it is £(10 plus 1) x 3, not £10 plus £3 juice. Rake live is waaaay higher than online.

    Anyway, you now know a player who is willing to pay rake on rebuys-sorry for disputin with Rasputin! GL

    I think the bigger issue is the addon break coming at a different time than advertised (this was the case in the mini atleast)

    Other sites don't charge rake on rebuys ( I deleted names of sites,as I shouldn't have put them up on sky poker forum,sorry for that)
    Live
    Genting don't charge rake on rebuys
    Grosvenor don't charge rake on rebuts
    Most casinos in Vegas I've played don't charge rake on rebuys
    Though the Vegas casinos do charge way above 10% rake

    I like sky poker.and will continue to play on the site,but won't be playing rebuys on the site,as long as they are charging rake on rebuys and add ons,that's just greed imo

    Plenty of people could beat those odds... There are players with close to 100% roi in mtts.

    The roi is much higher in mtt than any other format for the best players

    I personally rebuy a max of twice and take an add on ,getting charged a £1 in a £10 rebuy tournie would cost me £4 that's 40%, most players on average take between 3 and 5 (that includes add on) so they would be paying between 30% and 50% rake in the £10 rebuys.
