    Placed my bet this morning with sky Bet,it is my birthday today and my husband has gone of on a stag do for the weekend,so my horse is on his own 66/1 now that is what my husband will find when he returns on sunday night

    going off bits from a paper I make a bet on one of the first horses to fall and what do I see the winning horse being the type with a name I like.
    I certainly won't rule the world

    lesson 1 always pick grand national horses with names you'll like.

    In Response to Re: What have you backed in the Grand National? : Ha, the bet was placed a long time ago.   As it happens, I'm not so keen on it's chances now, with the ground coming up softer. Never mind, always good to "beat the price", it almost feels like a winner in itself. If only we could eat Value Pie for dinner.
