How come the all in sats to the 10k Bh which has a Buy in of £22 is £1.20 and the all in sats to the £1k Bh which is also a £22 buy in is £1.10? Whats the reason behind the higher rake?

Or, depending how you look at it, the LOWER rake.....;)
In truth, I don't know. I will try & find out, but it may be a little late to change now, if it needs changing.
Good morning all. Three popular MTT's have had their Guarantees INCREASED with immediate effect; Sunday Major increases from £12,000 to £15,000 Mini Gold Rush (Tuesday) increases from £2,000 to £2,500 Mini Avenger (Friday) increased from £3,000 to £4,000 Posted by Tikay10
Out of curiosity, are these increased guarantees just part of seasonal fluctuations (winter being a busier time in online poker for obvious reasons), or more a reflection on Sky having a generally growing customer base?
As a relatively recent convert to Sky, I was wondering the other day how Sky was faring in an online poker market that has been in general decline over the past few years? With many of the other major sites having made some significant and not necessarily good/popular changes over the past year or so (888 and Stars in particular) there are certainly some other previously brand loyal customers getting itchy feet. I just haven't been on Sky long enough to get a general guage as to which direction traffic on here is heading.

Hi Dues,
In short, both.
Guarantees often increase at this time of year, for seasonal reasons.
It's also true that Sky Poker is increasing it's S-o-W in some areas. It's certainly done very well Y-o-Y in the past 2 or 3 months.
The Business also manages it's Guarantees & subsidy much tighter (= better) in the last year or so, therefore Guarantees are revised more frequently.

Thanks for the reply Tikay. I've enjoyed the switch over to Sky so it's good to hear that the ecosystem seems to be in good shape. Sky has a lot of USP's for me so hopefully it won't be another PKR in the making (or perhaps I should say un-making?!).

They should be £1.10 + £0.10 as they are 1 in 20 sats. I've corrected it now. Cheers

Only just seen this post. Thanks James.
It probably correct but why are the £15k Bh (£110 Bi) all ins £3 and the £4k Bh (£55 BI) all in sats £3 aswell?
I can't remember which thread it was on, hence I am posting on this one, but I am sure I saw something about interesting MTT changes coming in September? Well we are midway through September and I haven't noticed anything so did I dream this?!

I thought that the Mega Mini Series was reasonably interesting, no?
Maybe something else is in the September pipeline.
Since the Main was amended to allow re-entries, there has been no adjustment to the number of people in the money.
So (for example) tonight there are 213 entries, and 48 re-entries (called rebuys on Sky and absolutely nowhere else), so 261 entries. Only paying down to 23rd, as it would have done when there were just the 213 entries before the change.
Seems a little odd for what is primarily a "rec" site to only be paying out under 9% of the entries.

Morning Phil.
I've discussed this with the office, & it seems we are at slight cross purposes here. As I understand it, the Tourneys you are referring to are Bounty Hunters. If so, that changes things, as by definition, Bounty Hunters actually pay much deeper, due to the Bounties being spread around, & so they pay way more than 9% of the field.
Freezeouts with re-entries - the Sunday Major for example - do pay a lot more than 9% of the field.
The re-entry/rebuy thing? Fair comment, but Sky Poker's current software can't manage "re-entries", only rebuys.

EDIT Just seen its correct but for some reason its left some of your text out of the quote.

Sorry Phil, saw the question & intended to raise it with the office, but, well I forgot. Sorry.
I'll raise it with them on Monday. Assuming I remember, of course. I'll write myself a reminder note.
Incredibly, I remembered, & have raised this topic with the Office this morning.
