I'm suprised that no-one picked up on my reference to pengiuns yesterday and replied by saying something like "with the amount of fish in poker, penguins should be in their element"
Event 16 - $1500 NLH 6-max, Day 3 of 3, 1748 entrants This has gone to Californian Anthony Marquez, with $393K coming his way.
Just 23 hands of heads-up was necessary for him to beat Canadian Demosthenes Kiriopoulos, but the real killer was the hand with 4 left when Marquez dispatched both Steven Buckner and Daniel Weinman in the same hand.
Event 17 - $10K Dealers Choice 6-Max Championship, Day 2 of 3, 102 entrants One of the best players without a bracelet no more, John Racener has finally collected his first silverware 7 years after being the runner-up in the 2010 Main Event.
At one point on the FT, Racener was struggling but as soon as it got to 4-handed (after the elimination of Mike "The Mouth" Matusow) Racener dominated and finished off the other three players quite quickly.
First Daniel Eichhorn went out in a hand of Pot-Limit 2-7 Lowball, then the action turned to NLH (Racener's choice) where he busted first Chris Klodnicki and then on the very next hand Viacheslav Zhukov.
Event 18 - $565 PLO, Day 2 of 3, unlimited re-entry (2 starting flights), 3186 entries We're down to 9 so the FT and we have 5 different nationalities represented. Jessie Bryany (USA) has the chip lead, Igor Sharaskin (Russia) is second and Canadian Scott Davies 3rd. Belgium and the Czech Republic also still have players involved.
The last two British players both collected $11754 after disppearing one after the other - Adam Owen finished in 13th and the legend that is Joe Beevers 14th. Darren Taylor finished 48th for $4412.
Event 20 - $1500 Millionaire Maker, NLH, 5 Day Event (including 2 Day 1s), 3438 entries on Day 1A 535 players have made Day 2 (on an increased Day 1A field from last year) and Day 1A has ended with a Bulgarian at the top - Boris Kolev. Kolev has been around the EPT for the last couple of years but has more of a reputation as an online player - ranked 192nd in the Pocket Fives online rankings.
Barry Hutter, in comparison, is a live player with 11 6-figure scores to his name (4 of which came within a golden 6-week period in the autumn of 2015) and won a bracelet in a shootout event earlier that same year.
Top Brit is the little-known Graeme Hibbert with Tom Hall, Gareth Nelson, Chun Yam, Christian Christner, Daniel Carter, Simon Deadman, Adrien Delmas, Chris Moorman, Scott Margereson, Oliver Simpson and Martynas Vitkauskas all marked as "GB" in the Day 1 end of day listings.
Event 21 - $1500 Eight Game Mix 6-Max, Day 1 of 3, 472 entrants Seventy one of the 104 players who bagged chips on Day 1 will cash on Day 2, with Chris Vitch , Dennis Morrison and Christopher Sensoli an all-American top 3.
Three UK players remain, headed by frequent Sky Poker TV guest Sam Grafton, with WSOP regular Stephen Chidwick and Stephen Woodhead the other two.
I was going to list some of the notables, and helpfully the WSOP have picked out the following for me "Other names include five-time bracelet winner Jason Mercier (11,700) and his wife Natasha Mercier (11,900), three-time bracelet winners Barry Greenstein (3,800) and Eli Elezra (22,400), and former November Niner Josh Beckley (33,000)."

I know many of you are reading them, but there has not been a comment by anyone for 3 or 4 days now, & it must be a bit dispiriting for Barny. (Not that he'd ever complain).
Great thread. I have read with interest yet haven't commented, poor form really.
Many thanks for posting these Barny. In a few weeks I look forward to seeing my name in one of your posts, I suspect it may be in one of the following formats:-
Sky player Enut was one of the first out having massively overplayed a bluff
Sky player Enut was one of the first out having forgotton how to play NLH
Sky player Enut blinded out after his wife decided they had 'other plans'

Event 18 - $565 PLO, Day 3 of 3, unlimited re-entry (2 starting flights), 3186 entries The largest live PLO event ever has gone to Tyler Smith. Smith held the lead most of the day and used his big stack to great advantage. Heads-up wasn't much of a grind at all, coming in with a 6:1 lead over Jason Stockfish, it was all over within one hand.
Igor Sharakin was third and best of the Europeans with previous bracelet winner Scott Davies, while seventh place man John Dallaire was allegedly playing his first ever PLO tournament.
Event 20 - $1500 Millionaire Maker, NLH, 5 Day Event (including 2 Day 1s), 7761 entries The total number of entrants and the prize pool for the Millionaire Maker is now known after the second and final Day 1 which saw 4323 entries, making the total 7761.
670 or so made it through Day 1B with an all-American top 6 headed by Brian Altman, Billy Graybeal and Adam White.
Kenny Hallaert is top well-known player lying 10th
"GB" players through (in chip order) - Romain Lewis, Daniel Barriocanal, Fraser McIntyre, Stephen Woodhead, Harry Lodge, Matt Davenport, Craig McCorkell, Tim Flanders, Sergio Espina Aido, Lucas Blanco, David McConnachie, Louis Salter, Damien Le Goff, Sadan Turker, Patrick Leonard, Shola Akindele, Daniel Bland and Matas Cimbolas
Two players who already have one bracelet on the wrist this year, David Pham and John Racener are also through.
The eventual winner will collect $1.2m, a min-cash will be $2249 and with 1187 players left in and 1165 to be paid, those min-cash slips are going to get handed out very quickly.
Event 21 - $1500 Eight Game Mix 6-Max, Day 2 of 3, 472 entrants There are just 10 players left in the 8-game, with Gregory Jamison having a decent overnight lead over the other nie.
A couple of the final 10 already have bracelet - Frenchman Fabrice Soulier and Day 1 leader Christopher Vitch.
Of the 3 Brits, Stephen Woodhead bust before the cash (and then jumped into the Millionaire Maker, see above), Sam Grafton min-cashed for $2259 and Stephen Chidwick earned $2883 for 38th spot.
Event 22 - $10K 2-7 Draw Lowball Championship No Limit, Day 1 of 3, single re-entry, 92 entries
The latest of the big money buy in events saw just 67 players and 25 re-entries making 92 entries, down from an even hundred last year.
The chip leader is a less-than-familiar name to me, Jon Turner, but looking at his Hendon Mob database page sees he has had consistent results for a number of years, and has made the FT of this very event in both 2015 & 2013.
As you would expect in a $10K event, plenty of big names in contention with Mike Leah, John Monnette, Robert Mizrachi & Shaun Deeb lying 2-3-4-5.
Recent bracelet winner John Racener is among the others as is one UK player, Usman Siddique. (Adam Owen went out early, Richard Ashby midway through the day and both Stephen Chidwick and Benny Glaser departed late on)

Some familiar names there.
Harry Lodge won a Sky Poker UKPC for £60,000 just 2 years ago, since when he seems to have been on a World tour & has collected nice wins & cashes right across the globe, including a bunch of cashes at the 2016 WSOP.
Tim Flanders is a friend of mine from many years ago, goes by the nick of Hi Diddley Hi. Tim's wife, Pippa, was here last year but very unwell indeed with a terminal illness. I do hope she is OK, or not suffering too much, she is perfectly lovely.
Patrick Leonard is the Online phenom known as Pleno. Newcastle lad, lives in Twickenham now with two 3 legged dogs.
Shola Akindele is Simon Deadman's better half, smashing girl, very good player.
Matas Cimbalos twice cashed in the UKPC Main (4th & 10th) & then won the UKPC High Roller for 60 large, & he's been getting the lot all over the place ever since.
Breakfast time update, all events below are still ongong so will require a further update later on.
Event 20 - $1500 Millionaire Maker, NLH, Day 2 of 4, 7761 entries Play ongoing, they've just started the last level of the night.
Recent departures include Simon Deadman, former November Niner Jeremy Ausmus and star of this thread Rex Clinkscales.
181 remain, with the Day 1 chip leader Brian Altman still up around the top.
Event 21 - $1500 Eight Game Mix 6-Max, Day 3 of 3, 472 entrants It is currently heads up with Ron Ware and Mike Ross playing for the bracelet.
Fabrice Soulier exited in 3rd and Sachin Bhargava fourth.
Event 22 - $10K 2-7 Draw Lowball Championship No Limit, Day 2 of 3, single re-entry, 92 entries A round dozen are still in-play, wth John Monnette having the current chip leader ahead of Darren Elias and the magnificently named Xavier Kyablue.
Day 1 chip leaders Jon Turner and Mike Leah still survive, but the last British player Usman Siddique was an early Day 2 casualty.
Event 23 - $2620 The Marathon (100 minute levels), Day 1 of 5, TBD entries The very early stages of the Marathon, late registration won't close until the start of Day 2.
I don't trust the chip count pages during this point in a tournament unless they show a player with zero chips, which is where they show Chris Moorman.
Event 24 - $1500 Limit Hold'em, 3 Day Event, 616 entries 252 remain at this point, with a lot of multiple bracelet holders among them (Hellmuth, Mercier, Ferguson, Michael Mizrachi etc.)
As usual, not much British interest in a Limit event, but Benny Glaser has been mentioned in updates.
To start today 13/06/17 Event 25 - $1K PLO, 3 Day Event 13/06/17 Event 26 - $10K 7 Card Razz Championship, 3 Day Event
Updates Event 20 136 players still have the dream of becoming Millionaires in a couple of days time. Senovio Ramirez III (the III must be important) has held the chip lead for big chunks of Day 2 and holds the overnight advantage.
Senovio has 1.57m chips, with one of those Spaniards resident in the UK, Lucas Blanco nearest to him with 1.3m and Daniel Lee from Korea third with 1.2m more or less.
If the rest of the nationalites on the WSOP site are correct, the only Brit to cheer for is Scott Margereson who has less than 10% of the chip leader's stack and is in 119th place at the end of Day 2.
Event 21 Chalk this one up for Grumpy. Not one of Snow White's dwarves, but poker player Ron Ware who finished third in this event 12 months ago, went two better to defeat Mike Ross heads-up. Ware gets $145K, Ross nearly $90K.
Event 22 Only eight remain, headed by two-time bracelet winner John Monnette who is the only player with over a million chips in his bag.
The next two players, Darren Elias and Mike Leah are in the 600K range and former Player of the Year Mike Gorodinsky has 591K.
This plays to a finish from 10pm our time tonight.
Event 23 The very principle of the Marathon is a slow and steady tournament with almost half the opening day field of 1647 surviving into Day 2, plus late reg is still open until cards are in the air tonight.
Ukrainian player Igor Yaroshevskyy holds a chip lead over the wonderfully alliterative Rigoberto Rodriguez and Maurice Hawkins
Darren Judges from London is 15th, Roberto Romanello (those initials again) 37th, Niall Farrell 39th and Pratik Ghatge 49th with a player from God's own country, Kenneth Broad from Looe, Cornwall 51st.
Some other "names" still in include recent bracelet winner Adrian Mateos, former November Niners Robert Salaburu, Vojtech Ruzicka and Bruno Politano, Koray Aldemir, Taylor Paur, Ari Engel and Frank Kassela.
Event 24 132 Limit players make Day 2 with 2 of them bagging 6-figure stacks - Michael Reed and Jeff Thmompson. Better known players who make Day 2 include Barry Greenstein, Alex Luneau, Ronnie Bardah and Brock Parker.
No Brits though, so we can move along.
Barny Boatman has had 3 small cashes so far, Ross hasn't been spotted in any chip listings that I've seen

Gasp.
Not sure if you are aware of who Kenny Broad is, & his background, but if I were you Barny, I'd keep any comments about Kenny "warm and friendly".
He was living near Liskeard last I heard. I could write a book about Kenny. But I won't.

There's a film in there somewhere that's why poker is so good you never really know who you are playing against. I am just guessing we are not talking about the anthropologist :-)

As usual, not much British interest in a Limit event, but Benny Glaser has been mentioned in updates.
To start today
13/06/17 Event 25 - $1K PLO, 3 Day Event
13/06/17 Event 26 - $10K 7 Card Razz Championship, 3 Day Event
Event 20
136 players still have the dream of becoming Millionaires in a couple of days time.
Event 21
Chalk this one up for Grumpy. Not one of Snow White's dwarves, but poker player Ron Ware who finished third in this event 12 months ago, went two better to defeat Mike Ross heads-up. Ware gets $145K, Ross nearly $90K.
Event 22
Only eight remain, headed by two-time bracelet winner John Monnette who is the only player with over a million chips in his bag.
The next two players, Darren Elias and Mike Leah are in the 600K range and former Player of the Year Mike Gorodinsky has 591K.
This plays to a finish from 10pm our time tonight.
Event 23
The very principle of the Marathon is a slow and steady tournament with almost half the opening day field of 1647 surviving into Day 2, plus late reg is still open until cards are in the air tonight.
Event 24
132 Limit players make Day 2 with 2 of them bagging 6-figure stacks - Michael Reed and Jeff Thmompson.
Not sure if you are aware of who Kenny Broad is, & his background, but if I were you Barny, I'd keep any comments about Kenny "warm and friendly".
He was living near Liskeard last I heard. I could write a book about Kenny. But I won't.
