having been the victim just of a river card bust making a str8 for a pair of 5 against AA it seems in the general interest stakes to get players coming back lots of good hands come regulary . in live poker games you dont see the amount of staights flushes and full houses that you see in a very short time online . it is purely done to keep punters coming back as they dont get bored

In Response to Re: Sky Poker is Rigged!!! : Your so right Tikay,Ive seen some terrible thing around the card rooms over the years.People dealing off the bottom etc, we even caught a player with his hand in the pot one night, and he was a respected player around the local casinos.Makes some people do strange things this game.

Does strange things to their minds, too.

Sky Poker have dealt 1,137,145,495 (that's 1.14 billion)  hands - so that's 1.14 billion pieces of evidence, 1.14 billion chances to find one single piece of evidence of malpractice. And nobody ever has. Not one.

Try & put that into perspective. If it were 1.14 billion miles, that'd be like London to Cornwall & back. Twice.

Of course, the same nonsense is peddled about every online poker site. Over at 'Stars, they have dealt over 100 billion hands. And they get 100 times more suggestions that something is dodgy. And yet nobody has ever come up with a single shred of credible evidence.

Live poker is immeasurably more likely to involve malpractice, as we all know. I could write a book on the stunts I have seen pulled in Live poker.

If you went from London to Cornwall, you wouldn't want to go back. Certainly not twice.

True but it is not a conspiracy or a fix, you get WAY more hands dealt online than you do live. That isn't even considering the fact you may be playing several tables at once but instead sitting waiting on one table live with some players do a Will Kassouf impression. Therefore you could have been just as accurate saying you get way more rubbish hands dealt online.

I once played poker in Cornwall as a guest of Des Wilson, who is a great & wonderful man who has been a friend of mine for 15 years or more. Des led a crusade for lead-free petrol, which has saved many thousands of lives.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Des_Wilson

    And here is his Bio;

    http://www.deswilson.com/biography.htm

He is probaby best known in Poker for his Bio of the late Dave Ulliott, "Swimming with the Devilfish".

He lives with his wife Sue in a gorgeous, secluded cottage in Cornwall where I stayed as his overnight guest.

Anyway, he took me to a local poker club to play a little tournament, think there were about 90 entrants. And, I swear, at least 80 of them were related, they were all aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces of each other.

I was rather hoping to find my fave one of all time; "The pause before the river card is dealt is the software looking for the card to beat us".   Yes mate, that's how software works.

Have thought bout this and I am sure Sky make up players so as to make up numbers and those players go on to win so they only pay  that only  out small money...example £1000 turbo @ £5.50 attracts 30 players thats £165.00 so they want to make money so how can they pay out £1k for a a incoming amount of £165.00 beats mer.

When I first started playing (many years ago), I thought this was a possibility, but it definately isn't the case. I and many others have won tournaments on here where the guarantee has been missed and I'm pretty sure I'm a real person.

Missing the guarantee's isn't good for anyone which is why Sky regularly adjust the guarantee's.

Maybe try posting some hands up and get some feedback.

Sky poker is a good site.  It is not rigged.  People who say it is rigged are stupid.

The hand histories are saved for ever. It makes no difference to sky who wins it just deals the hands and takes its rake.

If you get a run of bad luck tht what it is, luck.
If you run good then fair play to you.

There are lots of ways to cheat in real life at poker.  Online the only possible way to cheat is by colluding with other players.
Sky protect us from that.  If anyone is playing suspiciously you can get sky to check their hand history with any other players.

Please would people who play for a short period of time stop bad mouthing the site.
If you lose your money and you had the best hand each time then that is hard luck.  Nothing else.
Try again and suck it up.
It is so wrong to bad mouth a site like these idiots do.
It is people doing this that will get poker sites taken off line.

Play with money that you can afford to lose.

If someone pulls out on you in your car on the way home from work and you crash your car you dont blame the company who made your car.  Don't blame sky for the run of the cards.
