In Response to Re: Women can't play poker. : Why would the Girls say they chose to wear them, they were not forced to ........ would you do something you did not wish to do ......... Posted by goldon
I think you'll find it's called working for a living.
Its just disrespectful, having a joke with your mates is fine, even if you genuinely believe the stuff you are saying (which i hope you dont) then i guess there isnt too much wrong with that, but to come on a public forum an be utterly sexist just is not right, if id never have played on sky before and then read this thread then i certainly wouldnt want to play on here, im sure if it was racist or homophobic you would have been long banned.
As you are a self confessed "perv" then there are plenty of places you can go to satisfy your needs that arent poker venues. personally i think poker venues should be about the poker, and all thats related to poker (gambling, social interaction, drinking etc)
In Response to Re: Women can't play poker. : Please dpn't make a comment that suggests I was agreeing with anything you have said in this thread. You couldn't be further from the truth. Posted by Enut

You've done more trolling on this thread, and the weird rail thread, than anyone else.
Wonder how many players would have the courage of their convictions and boycott any future SPT at DTD because of the ladies attire? I'm guessing not many if any at all. PS For those lucky chaps heading off to Vegas, you may want to steer clear of Hooters. Posted by VespaPX
I think you, an a few others have missed the point, Hooters is fine its targetting a male audience to go there to specically drink poor quality beer and eat poor quality food and to be waited on by attractive women, thats the whole idea of the place, similar to strip clubs where you go there specifically to spend a load of money for some cheap thrills. But "the uk's best cardroom" shouldnt be aimed specially towards males of a certain age, because the whole beauty of poker is that it brings people of all races, sexes, ages, backgrounds together to play a fun game and hopfully win money.
I doubt anyone would ever boycott it, thats pretty ridiculous, I go to quite a few West Ham matches, i dislike hooliganism but id certainly never consider boycotting it because a small minority share a different view to me.
No one looks back to 50 years ago and thinks "i wish we still had all that racism and homophobia", but at the time it was common place and something that was easy to accept. If people never spoke out about that then we'd still be living in that kind of country today, looking back we can all see how ludicrous it was, unfortunately sexism is a bit more behind the times but surely its good to speak about, otherwise nothing will change for the better.

But it is because they are the source of income and the only way to change it is to take action if it is to become a more inclusive. inviting place for all.
PS The Hooters reference was meant to be a little tongue in cheek.
