    Sad news.

I played a lot with Sir Gary over the past six months. Always found him a tough opponent, and he seemed to play the game in the right spirit. Condolences to his family and friends,

I'm both shocked & saddened by this terrible news.

Gary was playing regularly on the site just a few days ago.

Always a perfect gentleman, & never failed to wished his table companions "good luck" before every single game.

    Devastating news.

RIP Gary, & condolences to his family.

    BIG +1

Gary was such a lovely man. I had the good fortune to meet him at my first ever live tournament at DTD in August 2015. I had only spoken to him through the chat box in the UKPC sat's beforehand, but he had always been so friendly and you genuinely knew he meant it when he wished you luck, and he really did help to ease my nerves. We had a good laugh at the tournament as Gary had such a brilliant, dry sense of humour, and some wonderful stories.
He truly will be extremely sadly missed, both on SKY Poker and in life itself.... at least he got to see his beloved Leicester City win the Premiership.

RIP my friend and true gent of the Poker World.

I initially saw this sad news on another thread and commented there, however it seems fitting to pay tribute to him on this thread:

He was an absolute legend on Sky Poker, and a truly humble, genuinely nice man.

I had the pleasure to meet him in Punta Cana and at DTD.

He's been outstanding at the poker table this year. The biggest profit for MTT's on Sky by a country mile.

Tragic that he has been taken from us, when clearly his mental faculty was as strong as ever.

Always a gent and always helping others. A vastly under-estimated poker player at the peak of his powers.

My sincere condolences to his family.

RIP Gary, you will be missed by so many.

    We won't forget you.
