Yes!! Time to brush of my legendary quid snogs! Laster longer anyone? Quick question, is it still the case that people forum banned can't attend? See you there pops! Posted by TRIP5
Hi Irene,
I don't actually recall that ever being the case, but no matter, it's water under the bridge now even if true.
Anyone is welcome to attend as far as I am aware, though the Legal bods might be exercised if any Self-Excluded players turned up.

Hi Tikay
GREAT to see the SPT is back, as I've heard so much about how good and what fun it was.
You say "anyone is welcome to attend" ... does that mean 'Anyone is able to play in the tournament, including non-SKY POKER players'?

In theory, yes, but they'd need to obtain a seat first.
There are 2 ways to qualify.
1) Online, via Skypoker.com. (Seats cannot be transferred).
2) The Venue will be allocated a few seats, as is custom. (Pure guess, maybe 20-ish). It's up to them how they use those seats - give them away, sell them, or use them for a Super Sat.
So those are the 2 ways to get a seat.
For the record, Sky Poker would absolutely prefer that the seats were won by Sky Poker players.
Space is tight at this venue, & so there won't be oodles of "spare" seats flying around, looking for a home.
Apologies if that all sounds a little negative (or, as I prefer to say, HAYSIE-ish), but that's the gist of it.

Hi Bud,
I'm gonna keep my powder dry on that one for the moment - other than to say that qualification will be by a "variety" of routes, such that as many players as possible get a fair chance of winning a seat.
Full details on SPT will be published soon, but I think Sky want to get Viva Las Vegas over the line first. Which is my sneaky way of reminding everyone that details of how you can win the final Viva Las Vegas 2017 package will be announced at around midnight tonight, or no later than tomorrow morning. And you can get started on qualifying straight away. (After midnight tonight).

Thanks for all your help and info for us 'newbies' TiKay.... can't wait to get started on the sat. route.
Having learnt about SKY Poker thru' watching Mr. Hayes whilst he was 'at work', I can assure you he used to be a very positive person.... maybe he's become a 'grumpy old man' since his retirement !
In Response to Re: The SPT is BACK : Hi Colin. Full details will be revealed soon. Strictly speaking it is a 2 day event, as it will have 2 x Day 1's (Friday & Saturday) with the third day, including the Final, being Sunday. Starting times etc will be confirmed in due course. We are hoping to add a "fun" element, with spot prizes for various things. Sky Bet go 1/4 that you win "Ugliest player". Posted by Tikay10
Great news, like a few people will probably go to goliath but will be attending any others with 100 miles of Brum. Have always wanted to go to one of these since seeing one in my local casino the Broardway
