If anyone wants to post "would be" perms for Goodwood tomorrow (or any other day for that matter) please do so before the off of the first race. (on your own threads)
From now forwards, I will look at people's "would be" perms and keep a P&L for them. If you want me to record your profit/loss. Please title the thread something like "YOUR USERID'S" "WOULD BE" JACKPOT PERM AT "LOCATION" ON "DATE")
Please make it clear that it is a "WOULD BE" perm(s) so syndicate members don't confuse it for a real attempt. I will probably do this myself for GOODWOOD tomorrow.
It's up to you how many and how big a perm(s) you do, but in general try and keep the "would be" total cost to less than £400.
I would recomend that you only do this on days you consider may be +ev rather than doing one every day.
May I suggest, just for a day or so, that you leave the old and new tables on the OP to make it easy for guys to check their totals, then remove the old ones after.
In theory, if they have checked their weekly score, checking the others shouldn't be too hard that way.

In Response to Re: Jackpot Syndicate NAPS League - NAPs for JUNE : WHY? Posted by MISTY4ME
Because "in general" that is the amount of stake our bankroll will allow us.
I have gone over it sometimes but it's not ideal, as it limits our number of attempts unless we cash.
So was trying to simulate what we would do as a syndicate if we were going for it.
But it's only a suggestion, by all means do whatever total stake you like. Just bear in mind, in reality, if I staked £2K on one attempt and we didn't get it, that would be us done for the month.

I will PM you tomorrow G, but obviously the 3 perm stategy you usually adopt is far more costly than £400, which is why I asked the question.
The 'JACKPOT attempt' I did myself all logged in my notebook, (and when I learn how to do screenshots, i will put up my reverse forecast and e/w 40/1 winning single on the DERBY for the non-believers)on Thursday's evening meeting at Sandown, was 'coz I wasn't working due to the weather and I had plenty of time to study. I can now fully understand that you wouldn't go for it as a syndicate because of the low rollover factor and I couldn't believe that the actual winning odds were nearly 20,000/1.
Having studied the card, in my opinion it wasn't overly difficult, partly born out by the fact that in the end either the FAV, 2nd FAV or 3rd FAV won every race.... but with that you had to look beyond the obvious.... namely the 1/2 FAV BANKER in the 1st race.... 2-y-o horses with a substantial penalty are extremely vulnerable, especially against a horse that had run very well first time out (on MONKEY GLB's Stag night out at Goodwood)
obviously I would have love to done the Jackpot myself but at least you have pointed me in the direction that a permed acca pays more when the Jackpot is £10K.... VERY INTERESTING

This post came up whilst i was composing the previous one,,,...(yes that's how long it took!!!) i know it's in the early stages of the SYNDICATE, but do you think it might be worth keeping the bankroll for at least 3 months, to allow you more flexibility, particularly if results don't go your way
