it's a decision made by the community team. this week's results will be announced tomorrow.
Our good friend Hong Kong Puey gets my vote with his seriously helpful advice thread Move over Deirdry Sanders, we don't need your premium rate phonelines anymore. There's a new aunt in town, and his name is Pu.
rich how can you seriously hope that the community gathers momentum and all start voting for their favourite threads when really they are not. all they are doing is shortlisting a few threads and then the people behind the scenes choose the winner, so it really doesnt matter if the community vote for one thread a 100 times and another thread once, you guys behind the scenes could still choose a different winner. i remember at the start you said it may need tinkering with and you are right, the thread that gets the most votes must be the winner other wise this will fail miserably, i for one wont be voting again untill this is looked at.

I thought the rules were quite clear, that we all recommend a thread, and the sky community team decides the winner and the nominator is selected via a random draw. If it went on the most votes from posters on this thread it would just become a mates 'r' us vote and that would definately not be fair. i think its fine as it is, i trust Rich and the team to choose a winner fairly on merit, it appears that you dont on this occasion? it may have been a deserving winner, but i just thought the community should decide, clearly you dont and that is your opinion but i think it would be fairer if the community decided the winner, and if it did become mates R us then just scrap it all together
