there are too many people to cheer for. good luck everyone. thanks for the updates, tikay. i think someone with a second name beginning with B will win. Posted by aussie09
Just wanted to wish my colleagues good luck today - Kirsty, James, Sam, Ambo & Darren (our resident magician)
All joking aside, think it's been a great idea to have the Poker Team playing. It can never be a bad thing for the Staff & management to meet the players & share poker tables with them, & it's worked really well. We often see shockingly rude comments about the staff on this Forum from disgruntled & moany players, but I think we will see less of that now.
Good luck all, hope to make the next one, great updates tikay, if poss can you keep me updated on uncle pat and goldenb238 please, cheers shauny Posted by SHAUNY
Getting a bit bored with sun, pool and tapas so some vicarious poker is just the ticket. I have a feeling Young Mr Groggy will run deep in this. Gl all.

Hi Matt,
Yes, you may well be right, he has a natural gift for the game, & is a lovely lad, too.
He'd be relatively short odds to make the final if I were running a book.

Man Overboard very first hand
Really bad news, Pompeynic is out first hand. Happy to gamble with 2-2, he ran into a fish who could not fold A high, &, inevitably the A fell.
Poor Nick does not know what to do with himself now. He bust his other stack very late last night, too.
PS - The fish with the Ace was, I believe, Hendo. Story adds up.
Table Sam Action
Ambo, who is in mid position, notices the Big Blind is absent, so makes it 5,000 to go.
The Small Blind is Markycash & it looks like he has sussed out Ambo's attempted steal & moves all in.
No theatricals, Ambo knows his kite wont fly & quickly folds.
I offered Markycash a spot Prize if he showed the bluff, but he showed 6-6, so it was not quite a bluff & he misses the spot prize.
Hendo just busted Pompeynic.
Boo.
I say, Boooooooooooooooooo
Adios Alvez
Alvez just bust in a 3 way affair.
Fella open jammed with Aces, Alvez re-jammed with A-K, & Matey Boy called off with Jacks.
The Aces held.
87 returned for Day 2, & after less than 30 minutes, how many remain?
78

The Day's Biggest Mover
He had 16,000 10 minutes from the end of play yesterday, then doubled up twice, & now has 95,000.
Well done Markycash.
He has also been warned twice by the TD - "English Only at the tables".
The cost of poker has gone up
New level just started, level 14, blinds now 1,600-3,200/400.
In the days first level, we lost 15 players.
74 remain
Man Overboard
We just lost Tom Peters, who is "YouMad". Really nice & personable young man, an Accountant by profession, but not boring like that other one.
I had not been aware that his brother is here playing, too. Brother George began today with just 22,000 or so, but is north of 90,000 now.
It's been 9 max all the way.
Magician makes himself invisible
Darren ("MagicDaz" on Sky Poker) is busto. Don't know what he had, but the Villain had the Kings.
He's actually a smashing bloke & a stunningly good magician.
