The Sky Poker Team will be providing regular updates from Manchester 235 on this thread.

Make sure you follow us on Twitter or like us on Facebook. We'll be running lots of competitions to keep it fun and involve those who can't make it, with prizes to be won.

    Morning all - today's the day.

    Whether you are playing, railing at the venue,. or railing Online, we hope you enjoy SPT Manchester.

    If you have any questions, or want to ask how a particular player is getting on, just ask, & we'll try to oblige.
     
    Most of all, & above everything else - enjoy. There can only be one winner, but the idea is that we bring a little fun back into the game. 

    Sky Poker will have Sam, Mark, Kirsty, James, Lord Talkalot & myself all present, all weekend.

    Excitement building. Looking forward to playing and reading all the updates!

    Will Tikay remember there is only 1 pot to play for and refrain from cold 4 bet shoving the A2/A3 type hands?

    Will Alvez make it on time?

    Will Matt have another live tourney to add to his sample size showing that live poker really is rigged?

    Who will win the last longer bet that the Sky staff presumably have going?

    Will Sky__James pull a sicky or turn up and be convinced that the entire Sky site should be switched to PLO8 BH MTTs with immediate effect?

    Will Tikay's latest fashion ensemble make it past Manchester 235 security?

    Time will tell... Have fun everyone!

    What kind of ID do we need to bring if we qualified online?  Will a bank card suffice or passport/driving license?

    I'm on the train now but will I actually be their on time or arrive at all?

    Plenty of Sky Poker banners up now, Kirsty & I put them all up while Sam, Mark & James were down the pub.

    We've got a little work-station to do the Live Updates from, so that's good.
     
    No sign of Ambo yet, but he generally, err, cuts it fine.

    I am guessing these were strange folks from some land far far away like the North of England of even Scotland and you couldn't quite make them out?

    We are up and running. 103 players at last count are playing Day 1A of the Manchester SPT.

    Late reg is open until about 8:30 tonight so we can expect that number to increase.

    Tikay is seated on Table 1 with Sky James and Sky Kirsty also playing. All have golden envelopes in front of them containing their mystery bounty.

    Neil Channing is also playing. He arrived at 4:30 after promising he would be here at 3. Neil has his golden envelope containing a very special prize for knocking him out.

    There are already some queues forming and new tables being opened. We are still confident that we will seat everybody but the demand is already higher than expected.
