I'm not good at reading people...

Well any player looking to get to the WSOP needs to have an 80% success rate at least IMO in these DYM's.

would be awesome if members of skypoker could actually venture out to vegas 2gether, even if its not the main event. plenty of way cheaper side events. obviously there will be players get in through vegas packages with sky but to have the extra people go would be great for the community of skypoker. altho a very big task ill give it a go :P

This challenge at the beginning was obviously meant for 2011 but as many of you have pointed out - there are plenty of side games out there which are cheaper therefore all you need to do is win enough to cover your costs - how much I have no idea!! WOuld it be possible for someone in SKY to give an estimate of how much roughly it would cost for accomodation, flights etc - it would be great to go out and rail some of the players that will be given the opportunity to play in the Main Event - would it also be possible for us all to fly out together, stay in same place as the package winners blah blah blah!! Just an idea - I don't know!!

$10,000 = £6,500 DYM would probably be the way to go. Play 10 per day for about 125 days (end of June). You will need to aim for a success rate of 80% = 8 wins per day. At the £110 DYM level, that means you would win £500 per day (8 x £200) - (10 x £110). This would take 13 days of playing at that level. Obviously you cannot START at £110 DYM's, the BR I'd say you need for this is ideally 50 buyins to move up to the next level which means you need £5500, however if you're aiming for this years WSOP-ME, 20 would probably be the better option = £2200. The next level down is £55, if you have the same success rate as above (80%), 10 DYM's per day = £250 profit, this would take 9 days to reach the £2200 BR to play the next level up. To play the £55 DYM level, you need a BR of £1100. The next level down is £44, 80% success at this level, 10 DYM's per day means £200 profit per day which means it will take 5.5 (say 6) days to move up a level. The next down is £33, 80% x 10 per day = £150 ppd = 5.87 (6) days to move up to the next level. £22, 80% x 10 pd = £100 ppd = 6.6 (7) days to move up a level. £16.50, 80% x 10 pd = £75 ppd = 5.87 (6) days to move up. £11, 80% x 10 pd = £50 ppd = 6.6 (7) days to move up. £5.50, 80% x 10 pd = £25 ppd = 8.8 (9) days to move up. BR required to play £5.50 level is £110 so you'll have to start with the £3.30 level, if you have an 80% success rate, you'll move up in 1 day of playing 10 per day. CONCLUSION: £3.30 up to £110 (1) £5.50 up to £220 (9) £11 up to £330 (7) £16.50 up to £440 (6) £22 up to £660 (7) £33 up to £880 (6) £44 up to £1,100 (6) £55 up to £2,200 (9) £110 up to £6,500 - (13) VEGAS in potentially 64 days . * £5.50 up to £220 ( 9 ) - means play level £5.50 DYM until your bankroll grows to £220 , meaning you have the 20 buyins to move up to the next level, at an 80% success rate it will take 9 days at playing 10 per day, winning 8. If you win either 6 or 7 in 10, it will change the projected expected complete time but on the plus side your BR will still grow. If you win 5 or less, you will have to make sure you are still rolled to play the level or you have to move down. There is no rush, you have 61 days SPARE so even winning 65% of your DYM's will probably be good enough. Good luck if you attempt this.

I would love to do it again, I am determined to make it to Vegas, one way or another. But back then it seemed really easy,my sharkscope showed $15k profit between March and November 2008,all from tournies and sit and goes. But it also shows that I have been inconsistent since then, with no real progress. Either my game has got much worse or the rest have got much better !!!!

then realistically no one will ever go to the WSOP if it is just done on dyms if an 80% win rate is required... the majority of the time you will be all in... so that means AA v under pair every time... what about coolers? what about shoving 72o in the SB because you need to steal the blinds? Most the time the decider is a 60 40 or 55 45.

I'd love to give it a go, I think I'd struggle with my adverse work times but I'll definitely try it.

I turn 21 this June so can only go for Event 17 onwards so I'll be looking at one (or hopefully more) event after that.

I had only used "80%" in my original post because I feel 4 in 5 is possible.

Even as long as you have a 60% success rate, you will build your £100 up, verrrrrrrrrry slooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwwllllllllllllllyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy but it will go UP.

Do you think you could do it?

ive played solely low stakes dym for almost a year... trust me 4/5 is very unrealistic... +55% is profit so anything above 60% works out as a nice steady profit. Do i think i could turn £100 into 10k? i know i could... playing low stakes dym lol... but that would take like 5 years lol...

lol this is a very interesting read.  just as a pointer, i deposited a tenner on the 9th of feb, and using "fairly" strict roll managment to start with, and a bit looser more recently (up to 20% of my roll at the table occasionally) i have got it up to £161 so far.  therefore if id started with £100, then i would currently have £1610.(in theory)LOL. maybe it is possible by june.haha. good luck to those who have started.
