Hi, I just got back from my Table Tennis match and watched the replays of the last three legs. (Was so hoping YELLOWHAMMER got beat in the photo in the last)
We would have won it for sure. At least the dividend wasn't massive.
Really sorry, had so much on today and was a bit rushed.
My normal process is to set the perms out from a statistical perspective, which should have still had ASK THE GURU in two lines, then I cross reference the MARKET MOVES, NAP's, REMOVALS and amend accordingly, and it should, in normal circumstances have been increased to 3 lines as a result.
Sometimes I go slightly against the removers IF a horse has massively drifted since the removal selections were made, but that wasn't the case here, it was just an error.
For some reason I omitted this process and subsequently ASK THE GURU in LEG2, I am still at a loss as to how this happened, Vaigret was right to point it out. I couldn't believe it myself when I double checked, I can only apologise.
It probably cost us £2.5K.
The thing is, I do believe in waiting until the last minute so that we can use betting patterns in the first leg to our advantage, but sometimes, I am scrambling to get it all done in time.
I got back from the school run at about 4.20pm, tried to do my removers by 4.45pm (This was a mistake, I should have left it and just started work on the perm)
As the perm structure was particularly more complex this time, I found myself rushed. I think I will have to start preparation at least 90 minutes ahead of time going forward.
Once again, apologies. The one consolation is that it wasn't a massive dividend, but nonetheless, I somehow dropped the ball here and it cost us.

Dont worry about it too much G. You do a cracking job running this syndicate and all the work load you put into it is MUCH appreciated.
Just try to leave enough time for one final check before placing the bets. We have all rushed before and been in the same boat so please do not worry on that score. Perhaps forget doing your removals sometimes if you need to focus/check on the perms?
BTW.....the whole FORUM is down on Monday so I am guessing we will not be able to work any NAPS/attempts then. The only workaround is possibly getting a facebook group together maybe.
Cheers, thanks MAX, it definitely wasn't a personal choice not to have ASK THE GURU in, I mean, I didn't remove it in my own selections, just a terrible oversight.
Thanks for the kind words, I will allow more time next time and probably will stop doing removals unless there is plenty of time in hand.
Thanks for the info re Monday, we'll see at the time, but unless there's a big rollover and an easy card, then we'll just leave it.

Graham you do an awsome job, i certainly could'nt do what you do, as Micky said " don't beat yourself up ".
Probably just need to give yourself a bit more time to finalise the perms - maybe we need to close naps/removers a bit earlier, but your theory sounds fine.
Dont beat yourself, up you do a brilliant job and this hit you harder than most . It was an oversight , nothing more, because you were rushed. Just to much on your plate this time.
As I know from doing the alternative perms you asked me to continue, watching the market moves has definitely helped us on previous attempts , However what I would say for your peace of mind , and to allay any moans, thank goodness there hasnt been any, the naps and removers should take precedence.
For instance one of my naps today was because of a big market move overnight for Aquamarina, Ran like a donkey. Other ones did too. Al Mumtashar and watheeqa. Also you can be done on market moves just by the time you look. Within an hour today a horse went in from 10's to 6's and then out again .
Anyway , thanks for all you do and it will right itself. Remember the difference between winning and losing can be a nose and you cant predict that or do anything about it

no probs mate, the thing that threw me was that this time I was talking about a horses nose, although as it was YELLOWHAMMER I should have said beak
Hi all, Vaigret and I have agreed upon a process whereby he sanity checks the perms (assuming he is available on the day) 45 minutes before the off. This should "hopefully" reduce any errors like the one that occurred on this attempt.
