Hi G. I've done my REMOVERS, hope they're on there ok for you to see. Yours and Roger's are only other ones on there so far.
Hi MISTY, yes I can see them OK. Only slight problem is that you (or someone else) have changed the background colour to light blue on 4 unwanted cells.
I will leave you to try and correct.
Cheers,
G
Hi G Has someone changed the cells back to the original colour? When I originally did my REMOVALS, I just used the top 4 cells, but had the horses in the wrong order and obviously the wrong place, so I moved them and didnt realise it changed the colour of the cells. I also don't know how to move the sheet along as a whole so I can see all the REMOVALS, and so that the selections, perms etc. disappear to the left of my lappy. As you can tell I'm not very techy. I did my REMOVALS from your post and didn't need permission, I just had to sign in on my Google account.

Yes someone has changed them back for you, don't worry this is why we conduct a test. To move the sheet along there is a "slider" on the bottom right of the screen.
OK, I have now submitted my final score, can people complete their of scores and someone check my score and fill in the "CHECKED BY" column and add comment in "COMMENT" column, like "AGREED"

I've entered my points (I hope) after initially trying to do it in the cell itself which meant I deleted the selection. I remembered that the cell goes up above the table, next to the fx I can see and used the little slider bar in the bottom right hand corner, but all this does is move the REMOVERS sheet along, and as I can only just see 1 column on the very right due to the rest of the screen being taken up with the perms selections etc.(these are what I want to move to the left, and I can't see a slider button to do this), it's very difficult to adjust and see what's going on.

i did reply to this but the post hasn't updated. I saw and used the slider bar, but all this does is move the REMOVALS table along, and on my lappy I can only see one column at a time at the very end of the sheet. This is very difficult to work with. How do i move the Selections/perms table to the left so it isn't occupying all of my lappy screen? I have looked for a slider bar to do this but can't see one anywhere. I initially tried to enter the points in the cell itself which deleted the selection, but I then remembered the cell to type in goes above the table, next to thefx(top left) for those like me who haven't much of a clue what they are doing
Hi G.... sorry to keep on about this, but 'coz i need to know for the future... Is it possible to slide the whole spread sheet over so that the left side columns (SELECTIONS/PERMS) move off screen and I can see more than just one of the REMOVALS sheet columns?

Part of the design was to "freeze" those colmuns meaning they would not be movable, as a trial I have now just "frozen" the first two columns, hope this helps.
Right managed to get horses on ( 1/2 hr later ) how do I put the points on ?.
UNDER YOUR NAME COLUMN CLICK ON YOUR FIRST HORSE. You should now see what is in that square on the line in the top left corner of screen. Type your points after and hit return and the horse and points will appear back in the box you first hit. Carry on as above. Everytime you hit a square the stuff to enter in it appears on the same line in top left corner.

OK, editing scores it proving a bit tricky for some, so I suggest we have a volunteer (that usually watches the races) To update the shortlist with the number of points each horse selection is awarded. Then people will just need to re copy/paste their selection.
Might make it easier. I will do it the first time we actually GO-LIVE, see how it goes and then I'll look for volunteers.
Hi, if any of the guys above want to participate in the removal process going forward, please can you follow the test procedure set out in this thread. Using the first TWO LEGS from TAUNTON on 01/11/17 for test purposes.
If you aren't going to be doing removals, then no need, but it is important all that will be participating understand the new process and have completed this test task.
In order for it to work, people have to have update access to the whole spreadsheet which we all share, so if people are unsure what they are doing they could mess it up for all. I don't mind that happening while testing, but wouldn't be great on a GO-LIVE day, so please get used to it here first.
If you are unsure feel free to post questions on this thread.

Just click into box where selection is and type ( points in brackets )
Hope that helps
