I will give this a go, if only to see my guppy rating from Sir Tikay, as it is about 10times my avg buy in I will obv be playing scared and tight, so best fold to my raises 😎
17 runners declared overnight for the inaugural running of £500 Guaranteed PLO8 Bounty Hunter MTT @ 2115 tonight.
Type of Race - This is a PLO8 Bounty Hunter, which is the poker equivalent of the illegitimate child of well-bred parents who happened to be brother & sister.
Here's the form guide as provided by SportingLife.com.
Markycash
Non-Runner. The Stewards have fined him to 3 months of Forum Abuse for late withdrawal.
safc71
Course & Distance winner, & has run up a sequence of wins in similar events & consistently beat the handicapper. Has the ability to know what card will come on the turn, as I learned last night.
Upped in class here though. Got a live chance.
Essexphil
14lbs out of the handicap, rider putting up 27lbs overweight, & very old. There was more chance of Foinavon winning the Grand National in 1967. We can safely rule this one out.
Enut
If this were at The All England Lawn Tennis Club at Wimbledon he'd have a chance. Played him last night & he seemed to suffer from outside interference. As in Mrs Enut.
Eon
Class act this, more miles on the clock than any other runner, only thing against him is his age, & the fact he lives in Ilkeston. Has often been accused of collusion as he once spoke to a bloke who knew a man who had a sister who also lived in Ilkeston.
Craigcu12
Needs blinkers to keep his mind on the job & help him ignore possible tilt. If he can ignore distractions & forget about what can't be changed, he could win this. Lively outsider.
Adzbo
Lovely individual. Could be a surprise package this one. Needs to up his aggro factor a tad, but with luck in running could go deep. SidV79
Unknown quantity. Tends to panic - WE HAVE A PROBLEM - but if he keeps calm, might run deep. Appears to have a lot of names - Bert, David, Sid etc, but nickname is Captain Mainwaring. Chicknmelt
Class act, hard to fault, big winner, though vey little experience at PLO8 MTT's. If he can adapt to PLO8, could certainly win this & is a banker to Final Table.
Catch-22
Ridden by Joseph Heller, this one is a complete paradox.
TheMadMonk
Unknown quantity at this game, but at NLH has a very good Rasputation.
Hendrik62
Fitted with blinkers, tongue-strap, & a noseband. Unreliable, can't be trusted not to tilt. Timeform awarded him a Double Squiggle. (A temperamental rogue).
UraBawBag2
Hard to judge, may have been laid out for this, could be anything.
coo1-um
Vastly experienced, good enough to win this on his day, though his day may be as frequent as February 29th.
pompeynic
Seems to encounter trouble in running, but his CV, which includes winning a UKOPS Super Roller for over £6,000 suggests he has the class.
tomgoodun
Nobody would begrudge our Dearest Tom victory in this, he is our very own Bob Champion.
chiggypig
Chiggy is a serious head, very unusual to see these sorts playing O8, where banter & craic is the most important thing, they tend to stick to NLH. Could very easily win this.

Remind me-who won the National in 1967?
How do big fat fishes get to be big fat fishes? By luckboxing v smaller fishes... PS-would happily finish 2nd to "Bob Champion" PPS-form guide should show up in this week's PLO8 results (I wish)
Don't think I will be able to play this Sunday, completely snowed under with work just now
Hopefully it does great and continues and I can join in the action from next Sunday.
Does "snowed under with work" mean that last Friday's lecture hasn't finished yet?
Haha, kind of! I am figuring out that throwing surprise 'mock assessments' means marking lots of surprise 'mock assessments'...
Will be very interesting to see how the game pans out tonight!
Will you be playing on all of your Ilkeston accounts tonight?
Me play a PLO8 Bounty Hunter MTT? Umm, no chance, not really my cup of tea. I'm a purist, I think all poker should be standard Pot Limit, with no bells & whistles.
But I hope it sails over the Guarantee, everyone has a ball, & it becomes a regular fixture, which is why I've invested some time - as have you - in revving it up.

Yup, much appreciated. Hopefully get a game with you in the DYM's soon. It has been a while! I seem to remember the last we left off you were 4 bet shoving blind on anything I done

Think it could get 38 runners.

Late Reg is ONE HOUR.
So with any luck, you should be OK for tonight.

Wait, what - the brains (?) behind the idea, Markycash, the headline sponsor, is NOT PLAYING IT?
Oh, the irony.
To be fair to him, he has just started a new job, & he has to prioritise things for a while, so we have to cut him some slack.
Even so, I think it's "open season" for insulting & abusing him on here. Seems fair to me.
So, I'm gonna start getting stuck into him for a change.
Seems a fair compromise. However, 'for a change'? I did lol at that
Regards,
Boxluck (the Norwegianish speaking, Scotch, stalker sort whose range is 'being dealt cards')
P.S. Looking forward to next week (assuming tonight goes well and these are still running).
