Just watching the 12.50 at Plumpton and my horse (Silverhow) crumpled at the 1st.
Its only a 4 horse race so it got me thinking what happens if they all fall and no-one finishes - Who wins and who do the bookies pay out on?
has this ever happened ?
Yes it has .... at Wincanton last year in a Novice Chase (I think it was) horse UR then baulked a load of others as per Foinavon Grand National, left 1 or 2 still going, who later Fell/Pulled Up so race was declared void. In the past they used to let jockeys remount to complete. Once happened with A.P.McCoy at Southwell. His horse Fell but he caught it quickly and then other 2 Fell, so A.P. finished race and won.( I think this has been on 'Question of Sport...What Happened Next?' Almost happened with Kauto Star at Exeter too.....Kauto Star was a long way clear but fell 2 out (with Ruby Walsh) in a 2 horse race. Ruby remounted almost a fence behind, chased the other horse down all the way to the line but just failed and lost by a Head/Short Head(-ish) I'm sure these races will all be on YouTube somewhere..... worth a watch for sure.
Yeh really WELL DONE V. a little bit of Misty Magic.
I should have been on it too I suppose (with my name mentioned) but I looked at it last night and thought how can that win, especially off top weight!!!!!! Shows what I know about SAND racing.
does show what GELDING does for you though.......Imagine how fast Linford Christie would have been

At last I pick the right one out of my 1st race in a nursery after three outings. Been racing at diff distances to get a good mark and as you say mist gelded after last race.
Reckon my nursery thread is showing over £100 profit to a £1 stake backing all horses that come into right bracket.
Sorry , well a bit LOL, that you didnt do your namesake !!!!
Nice going Viagret - Cheers - Had a fiver on it - Think this is my new place to come for tips
Glad you won something from following me as I have been on a bit of poor run. Pity I didnt do it with my other fancy Mama Africa 11-1 winner of the next.
