Thanks V. but I'm so sad too. I was literally in tears watching the finish as STARCHITECT was a horse i've always followed and often backed too. The very sad side to the sport we love, as it was at the last meeting when your dear friend LONDON PRIZE had to be put down, and also SIR VALENTINO last Saturday.Gutted too

Yes really sad times recently. Wonder if there was a big puddle on the covers when they took them off and made a bit of false ground. Seemed really churned up there

I thought exactly the same at the time, and dont want to re-watch the race to see, though other horses had obviously run through that patch before. It might have been 'coz Starchitect's hind leg broke that it made it look like the ground was very deep there. I hate it every time horses gallop across roads and paths, then back onto grass, but obviously the course people know far more about it than us.
Tough day for REMOVALS today but at least I've made a nice profit.

Yes, always so sad when a horse dies. I was at Cheltenham the day MANY CLOUDS died, it was right in front of me. I'd backed THISTLECRACK so was initially disappointed, but at least CLOUDS went out the hero that he was. It was one of the best races I'd ever seen live (Right up there with Desert Orchid and Best Mate's winning Gold Cups). Real shame for STARCHITECT and his connections today.

Probably a NO-GO tomorrow, but will wait until I know the meeting to say for sure.

    Cheers,

    G

    OK, that'll be a NO-GO then.

Hopefully I have updated it correctly following today's live results.

    Cheers,
