Great thread. Was trying to think of something interesting to say, but like my username, it's to the point.

Yep, love my toy. Second Boxster I have owned.

Poor man’s Porsche (I am poor) but a great quality car to have driving fun. People think you are rich if you own a Porsche but 8 year+ old Boxster’s are not expensive if you are careful what you buy.

Servicing is not much more than a BMW. Great fun to drive, awesome handling and great in summer with the top off. 2 big boots and we toured Europe camping in it last year.

Some reg sky players now call me in chat and social media, at SPT’s .... ‘with an S’ this is because others in chat, many mis-spell Boxster and I hate it and they know it winds me up LOL. (Queue the Boxter in chat now) lol

Ps ... with 3 daughters this was not a popular car with wifey.

My alias came from the fact that I own a Duesenberg guitar and it was the first thing that came to mind when signing up. Back in my younger and cooler days I was a semi-pro musician and reached such dizzying heights that Melinda Messenger once asked for my autograph - definitely thought I was living the rock n roll dream by that point!

I sometimes get asked at the tables if I am German. I like to assume this is down to my unemotional reasoned logical play-style and nothing to do with the German guitar company or car maker :)

    Trebor is a mint.
In this case, however, it signifies the planet Trebor found in the 6th constellation of the 8th planet of Zyran.
Hence the reason it is 68Trebor and not just Trebor.

Somewhat like TK, mine is an phonetic version of my surname plus some numbers.
Seems really simple although it took some longer than others to get it (Jac).
Although I have eire in mine which seems to upset some.

    OK, so why StayOrGo?

In my younger years, I couldn't sit still for 5 minutes, I wandered around from job to job, place to place, girlfriend to girlfriend for many more years than I care to remember.

I was/am quite a believer in fate and whenever I got in a rut, I turned to my trusted coin. A two pence piece.

I'd flip the coin (usually listening to THE CLASH in the background) and decide what to do next based on the outcome of the flip.

It was responsible for many fundamental changes in my life, job, where I lived etc.
I worked in IT most of my life, but also had stints as a bookie and an actor, all down to coin flips)

I left my IT job to pursue an acting career and I have a Post Graduate Diploma in Film and Television Acting, as a result.

I can post my acting showreel here if allowed (There is some bad language in the last scene, so not sure if it's OK to post here)

However if you go to YouTube and search, "Graham Carter Showreel", you should find it.

In fact, the said "coin" was also responsible for my decision to quit my IT Contract and become a full time poker player.

I am also known for flipping a coin when playing live if undecided to call a shove and it's close to 50/50.

Gary, my son's alias "Limp2Lose", well that's TK's fault. About the time Gary set up his SkyPoker account TK was on a mission to stop people limping, he was often very animated about it on the show.

I said to Gary, "The man's right", don't forget "LIMPING IS BAD", so lets re-enforce the message, why not call yourself, "LIMP2LOSE" and the rest is history.

Funny thing is, he limps in the Small Blind all the time now, it drives me NUTS!

    Cheers,

    G (StayOrGo)

    That's a great Post, Graham.

    This amused me;

In my younger years, I couldn't sit still for 5 minutes

And you can now? I don't think so. ;)

Odd you should mention the Clash - I watched a 2 hour documentary about the Clash last night. When they sacked Mick Jones, the wheels all came off big time. Eventually, of course, they asked him to return, but the horse had bolted by then, & it all got very messy. Shame really.

Never knew you were an actor - wow?

No problem with posting that Show Reel - in fact, I'll do it for you, here; (WARNING - contains strong language)

Great stuff Graham, very interesting. Love the take on the Good Will Hunting scene from 2 mins 30 sec onward.

I am with Gary on the SB limps lol. In fact, I love limping quite wide in position in PLO8 MTTs. Get to play loads of small pots in position with increased pot control, what is not to love B)

I know PLO8 is very different to NLHE, although the open limp in position does seem to becoming more popular these days with some top players.

55013 was a Deltic locomotive train 'The Black Watch'. I spent most of my spare time aged 14-16 travelling up and down the east-coast rail lines on the Deltics with my mates smoking cigarettes and playing pinball in British Rail buffet bars.
Sad? maybe, misspent youth? definitely, it was jolly good fun though.
