been laggy all night for me, seems to be a recurring problem (used to happen regularly every 2/3 months - although not for a while) lobbies not updating, tables taking an extra minute or 2 to load - a big problem if you are playing HU sng, games in the lobby not showing that you are registered....

On Chrome. Download is lagging as described above. Not unplayable, but it may need a quick look under the bonnet before it gets worse.
Ed.
Yes, I saw this for myself last night.
I was missing the first few hands of DYM's due to the table not opening immediately. It was no big deal, just 1 or 2 hands, & once I sussed it, I unticked HIDE FULL TABLES, went to the imminent DYM, & then pressed "LAUNCH TOURNAMENT" which then insta- launched the table.
So not a big deal (for me), I only had 4 or 5 tables on the go, but I agree with you, it needs looking at, just in case it's a portent of glitchyness ahead. Last thing we need over Xmas is software problems. Frustrating, as the site has been very stable for ages now.
I have reported it to the Office. If I hear back from them, I'll keep you updated.
As you can imagine, it's "skeleton staff" over the holiday, & of course Sam the Daddy Man is not available to me at the mo, but I do have ways to contact James, Kirsty & Mark, & have done so already.
Apologies for any inconv.
Quick Update, 0900
This has been picked up by the Team, & has been passed to the Tech Guys in Service Desk to investigate &, hopefully, resolve.
If I hear further, I'll let you know.
I have seen posts recently about new software in the works. Is this for real or just a long running gag??
I plan on playing and tbf Tikay it is a big deal. Not at the start but when multi tabling and you’re timing out on the bubble it can be very costly
But the lag (for me) is ONLY when waiting for a new table to open, there are zero issues during play of the hands, so there is no question of timing out on the bubble. So it's not a big deal to me, to be honest.
It should not be like this, of course.
The problem, AFAIK, is just at the very start of the game, when the table does not open until 1 or 2 hands have elapsed.
Yes, that remains exactly as it was last night, but there are NO "in play" problems as far as I am aware.
The delay in tables opening is minuscule, and really makes no difference. IMO, of course.
I have played 8 games so far today, mostly 3 & 4 tabling, and not missed a single hand at the start of a game. Lost a few of them though......
