To be fair, he has been changing his tune for all of those 7 years.
David Lammy is undoubtedly 1 of the most improved politicians over the last 5 years. And (now) realises that it is necessary to work with people who may not share your views.
He has advantages. He is genuinely a friend of the Vice President. Has spent a lot of time in the US. Studied there. His Dad is buried in Texas.
That's not to say there won't be bumps in the road. And Lammy's pronouncements in 2017 may have an effect. Although probably not as much as those of Elon Musk in 2024.
On the subject of balance, think this needs saying.
The Opinion pollsters were pretty accurate in relation to how the individual States voted. 3 or 4 coin-flips went Trump's way, but pretty accurate nonetheless.
What was not accurate was the overall share of the vote. They generally had Harris marginally ahead. Whereas Trump appears to have got 5 million more votes. 3.6% more votes. That's a lot of votes
Have all the liberal "celebrities" left the US yet, like they said they would?
I think that might have been what swayed the voters, 'what if I vote for Trump all these lot leave?....OK by me!'
I have never understood why anyone would want to listen to non-political celebrities about politics. Exactly the same applies to supporter celebs for every Party.
I have no time for anyone who claims they are going to leave the country if their favourite doesn't win. I don't mind when people say it as a throwaway comment-but if they mean it, then if they leave they are no loss to this country.
That applies equally to Right and Left Wing celebrities and business people. It you really love your country, it takes more than that to leave.

Unfortunately these "celebrities" actually have fans that believe everything they say. Brainwashed idiots
It's amazing they are now calling Biden "feeble" and highlighting how Harris had no clear policies. They did various hit pieces on Trump before the election but not Biden/Harris.
Donald Trump accepts that he lost the 2020 election.
How do I know this? Simple. It is the 22nd Amendment to the US Constitution. Section 1.
"No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice".
He won in 2016. If he won in 2020, that would have been the 2nd time he had been elected to the office of President.
He would then have been barred by the Constitution from standing in 2024. And the election he has just won would be declared null and void because he was not permitted to stand.
So he has no choice but to admit he lost in 2020. Unless he wishes not to be the President elect now.
I've asked you several times before - always politely - please don't publish misinformation, or links to extreme right-wing &/or conspiracy theory websites on here.

Which made a lot of sense. For example, why Ukraine is not as important to the USA than it is to Europe.
