i had first 4 winners then 3rd in 5th then my nap in last.......absolutely nowhere lol
Looks like lots of us had a good start. Well done!
I had a good start to this lucky 15, needed ARGENTELLO for over £2K.
Track position so important at Chester and CHIEF IRONSIDE bagged the rail and got first run on ARGENTELLO and others.

I backed the first three all singularly too, so I can't complain.
Thx R. It's a tricky one tomorrow. £12K rollover, but a very tough opening and 3rd leg.
We could bust 1st leg or be reduced to just one perm quite easily after leg 1. Another tough one in LEG 3, after that the races aren't quite so competitive, although an outsider can always come in anywhere anytime.
I am undecided, so before I make a unilateral decision, what are other people's thoughts?
We could "narrow the field" in some of the big handicaps, by ignoring big priced horses that are drawn wide and don't race prominently.
For an example. No horse drawn wider than 7 won today. Which is a useful stat, but by no means guarantees it will be the same tomorrow, although one thing we can say for sure, is that being drawn low is a huge advantage.
In general horses don't win from way off the pace unless the leaders go off too fast. Which can sometimes happen at Chester because everyone is trying to get to the rail in the lead.
I think the tactics Jockey's on prominent horses hope to use is, try and get to the rail in the top three if not leading without using too much of the horses gas, then stack them up, then make a dash for it round the bend at the 2 furlong marker and hope they last home.
Often works well, but the Jockey must get the fractions right.

Marietta Robusti , currently at 22/1. However, their tip last week is still running. So 'tip' strength is only about 20%. GLIYF.

I backed the first three all singularly too, so I can't complain.
They were the only single bets I had.
