Gone hard E/W on TIDAL WATCH in the 6.45pm. Has had a wind op since last run. If he improves for that, he should have a great chance.

Glad you got on, I had a decent bet on it too that paid for the previous loss on Tidal Watch. So quite a decent day really. THUNDERING BLUE being a non runner worked out OK in the end.
Useful piece of info from drawbias.com re HAYDOCK:
PACE ANGLE:
A very large pace bias exists at Haydock Park racecourse. It is very difficult for front runners and massively favours horses that are held up. As can be seen when you look at how Haydock ranks in terms of the individual distances shown below:
5 Furlongs - 29th out of 31 courses 6 Furlongs - 27th out of 29 courses 8 Furlongs - 25th out of 30 courses
DRAW ANGLE:
5 FURLONGS:
The results are very similar to the six furlong results, and show a significant advantage in being drawn high and therefore being able to race down the stands side.
6 FURLONGS:
At Haydock it is felt that the stand side part of the straight is the quickest part of the course, and therefore it is perhaps not surprising that over the straight 6 furlongs those drawn high and therefore nearest the stand side have a significant advantage.
7 FURLONGS:
There aren't many 7 furlong handicaps at Haydock as you can see. However there is definately a pattern here. With low drawn being favoured. This isn't surprising as the seven furlong races at Haydock are run round a tight bend, with horses being drawn low on the inside.
1 MILE:
A very surprising result here. It seems to be a big advantage to be drawn high, and over a quarter of the races have been won by the horse drawn widest of all. This is the complete opposite to the 7 furlong analysis. Very strange?
Will be interesting to see how this plays out.
I also believe that a good jockey booking is important here, as there are often hard luck stories.
OK, here we go. I will keep a P&L for the day for single bets I put on here:

One thing we can be quite confident is that there WILL BE a draw bias at THIRSK tonight favouring high drawn runners over 5f and 6f
1st, 2nd, 3rd drawn 12,7 and 14 (14 runners) with the fancied runners all drawn low.
MY SELECTION: JUAN HORSEPOWER drawn 12 of 14, although the favourite RANTAN drawn 14 is a worry.

Looks a value E/W bet. SKY paying 4 places, almost money back if 2nd, 3rd or 4th
3/1 was available, but think it has just come in to 11/4.
I am hoping there will be some market support for it, although more importantly, hoping it wins.
GL if you have a punt on it.

GL if having a bet!
Will be interesting if an edge can be gained today with draw and/or running style.
I may put my bets on here, but I will probably be placing them just before the off, so there may not be much time if you want to follow.
