Glad I checked the forum one more time before making the "When do SPT Glasgow sats start?" thread that I was about to make.

What's the capacity at this venue like? Might just punt the direct BI instead of bothering with sats.

Capacity? Not sure, to be honest, but they accommodated us comfortably last time we were there, though at times we were spread across 2 floors.

I'm sure it will be finem & what could be more exciting than Glasgow in October?*

    * That's a rhetorical question, please don't answer it....

@EvilPingu It's a fairly large casino with 2 and a half floors. Downstairs will be the main lobby area where most of the players will be sat and possibly upstairs if it's busy enough. On the opposite end there's a nice bar with screens showing sports plus a couple of billiards tables to hustle your mates/kill time. Upstairs is where the main gaming area is and also a restaurant. There's a balcony for smokers that overlooks the river Clyde, nice view. Decent food menu that you can order to your table too. One of the nicer casinos I've been to and I'm sure it'll be to your satisfaction.

I have this photo to show part of the ground lobby area so you have an idea what it looks like. Just to the left is the stair case that leads upstairs and behind is the bar area. I don't know where the original pic is so my mate is forever fish tagged.

Cheers - Looks a decent size from that pic, was worried about turning up and having to go on the alternate list if I BI direct but it looks like that shouldn't be an issue.

    Love the fish tag :D

    Morning @LuckyBrahh

    Couple of things.

You were going to make a Video (GoPro thing?) of your time at the SPT Vegas. Did you ever finish it? Would be great to see it.

Also - & I'm sure you have not forgotten - but you won a seat to SPT Glasgow if I recall correctly, for busting the gentleman you described as Neil "The British Mouth" Channing. You still OK to play Glasgow? If so, I'll arrange for your name to be entered into the SPT Glasgow lobby.

    Vegas was fun, eh?

    Afternoon @Tikay10

Yes sir, if you could that'll be great. I'll be playing on the Friday and arrange to stay in Glasgow over the weekend so we can attempt to tolerate the Glaswegians together. Give my warmest regards to Mr Mout.. ahem, Mr Channing. If I'm luckybrahh enough maybe I'll get a chance to knock him out on both sides of the Atlantic ;)

Unfortunately my jobbie of a mate, @NE2 who you recall having that tremendous silver haircut has somehow deleted half of our vids of our time in Vegas together. I could still maybe fix something up with the remaining half but it wouldn't be the same since I had a whole plan for how the video would come out and certain scenes and images I'd show. Gutted really doesn't describe the feeling since I was really looking forward to editing our memorable trip and possibly making it go viral. Alas it was not meant to be, maybe next year though??

All is not lost however, my other mate who was on the trip with us also used the vegas footage along with his other holiday destinations and made a video out of it. He would like it not to be public but since I promised I would show you our vegas trip I will message you privately with a link.

OK, I'll sort out your SPT Glasgow seat tomorrow, leave it with me.

NE2? How could I forget that hair job? Wicked stuff. And your Newcastle (?) scarf.

That would be Hearts scarf, the Toon's is black and white ;)
  • Tikay10Tikay10 Member, Administrator, Moderator Posts: 172,173

Well I did wonder why the scarf was not black & white, perhaps I thought it had run in the wash. In truth, I've no idea why I thought it was a Newcastle scarf.

Anyway, in better news for @LuckyBrahh , your name is now in the SPT Glasgow Lobby, as promised.

Look forward to see you there in Scotland's most beautiful city, home of so much culture.

    CORRECTION

Apologies, I thought the SPT was in Edinburgh, my mistake, it's in Glasgow.

I saw what you did there...

Cheers Tikay, will see you in Glasgow!
