Meanwhile, away from Poker, Arsenal's astonishing run continued as they battered Leicester City 3-1 to make it 10 straight wins, with their third goal being an absolute all-the-way-from-back-to-front-team goal purler.

Ozil was Man of the Match, though I thought Iwobi probably shaded it.

They now sit 4th in the EPL.

I had £10 on arsenal to win, under 2.5 goals. Under 13 corners and under 60 booking points. Under 2.5 let me down :(

Accas are fun. Expensive fun, but fun.

@Tikay10 on the subject of sharky, are you still able to easily find the results of all the tournaments (with a little bit of research)? Or is it just the history behind particular players who aren't regular winners and don't have sharkscope unlocked that's a struggle?

    Hi @Allan23

It's the latter that is the problem.

With a little ingenuity, I can find (via Sharkscope) the results of every UKOPS event, what I can't do is delve into the history (beyond 8 games) of those players who are not Opted In, which is the vast majority. UKOPS runs for 10 days & 64 events, so it would be quite a task to comment meaningfully on them all, but we'll see.

Also, & I'm sure you & everyone else understands, but I can't ask the Office to provide me with any background info or history on any players, that's a big no-go area.

This should be fun, hopefully some friendly banter and lots of interaction. As has been mentioned, easy to read these and not post.

    Well maybe everyone else did, but that's all new to me, & fascinatingly so. For others as ignorant as me, here's his Wiki page;

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Hughes_(businessman)

I do think it's rather super that there is a town in Ukraine named after Mr Hughes - almost inevitably named Hughesovka. Pretty neat, huh?

Sorry if this is a bit late.

I think Man Utd will knick it 1 - 0 with a Jose park the bus special. Man City to win 3 - 1.

Did you know the Ukrainian military is crowd funded

No worries about being late @MARK277 , I'm glad you took the trouble to respond.

And no, I never knew that crowdfunding contributed to the running & upkeep of the Ukraine Military. I suspect the amount is very small, a drop in the ocean against the total cost, but curious nonetheless.

A similar curiosity here at home is the RNLI - completely funded by public donations & profits from the sale of souvenirs & RNLI museum entrance fees. Which, as an Island nation, strikes me as very odd indeed.

I'm really pleased with this thread, taught me (& I hope many others) all sorts of stuff we would not otherwise have known.

Could anyone who is part of this discussion advise if possible how long the 20:00 Gold Rush is likely to run for?

    Hi Mark,

It is usually around 12.30 - 1.30am. It is a quicker blind level tonight (7 mins) than the normal Mains. However, I have just noticed it is now unlimited rebuys before late reg is over. (It used to be just one AFAICR). So it could possibly go on a bit longer tonight.

Good Luck if you play it.

Who's tagged me in this rofl thread?

Game is played in Kharkiv tonight (SD's temporary home since the troubles with Russia started, Donetsk being too close to the warzone), with a local KO time of 10pm.

We had them in the group stages last season as well. Decent team and not an easy place to go, though I'd like to think we'll sneak the win if we play to our best.

7 years to the day since we turned united over 1-6 at O/T. Always a nice day in the calendar :)

Nice thread Tikay but I take exception to battered Leicester 3-1. If the ref had spotted Rob Holdings hand ball which would have seen him sent off for second yellow and probably a City goal, things could have been a lot different. I concede in the second half Leicester were mildly battered! ☺

Very fair comment Pete, was 100% a pen, though as you say, Arsenal were utterly dominant after the first 30 minute onslaught by the visitors.

    And finally.....

The two Manchester Clubs are in action tonight in the CL, United at home to Ronaldo's Juventus, & City away to Shakhtar Donetsk whoever they are.

House points if you can predict the correct score in both those games, plus tell me where Shakhtar Donetsk is, & something about their country.

That's it for today, we might do it again tomorrow if it gets views, if it does not, fair enough.

0-0 and 0-0, you heard it here first............

That'd would be a tidy price, both Manchester clubs to lose would be a huge price. Perfectly possible.
