Zorn Venture 3 weeks ago I am absolutely shocked as to some comments here. You guys need to watch both seasons carefully. There is no doubt that Steven Avery and Brendan Dassey were framed. Brilliant Pro Bono attorney Kathleen Zellner debunked all the staged forensic evidence against Steven and pointed to a well orchestrated DA Ken Kratz effort to unethically create a false scenario and present it to the media pre trial. Steven had just won a multi dollar wrong conviction law suit against the county and was on the verge of settling . After Teresa went missing all police effort was focused on Steven exclusively. The car that she was driving was first found at another location but not entered into evidence prior to being moved to the Avery property, two days later. Despite numerous searches throughout the first seven days, no physical evidence was found on the property and then on the 8th day, Teresa's car key appears on the floor of Steven's bedroom . Four months later, county officers, who were not even supposed to be on property because of conflict of interest, find the supposed bullet that killed Teresa, in Steven's garage, There was a systematic planting of evidence and stuff that just did not make sense, like Steven transporting Teresa's body in the back of her car to the gravel pit behind his house, where he supposedly burned her up. The rape happened in the bedroom, yet the killing took place in the garage and the disposal in the pit and drum barrel. Brian had just come from school and was Steven's alibi, until they took this 16 year old boy with a 70 IQ, and in special ed classes, and fed him the lies they wanted to hear, all on tape and without mom and lawyer being present, lying that the mom gave the ok and did not want to be present during interogaton. In the mean time, during Teresa's visit, Bobby Dassey was present, and the ton of violent **** and female death scenes on his CD, were hid from the defense and not presented as evidence that was pointing in another direction. Conveniently Bobby's step dad Scott, went hunting at about the same time and close to location and they alibied each other. The two of them had the motive (rape ) and opportunity, but were used by prosecution to incriminate Steven. Why?Because the $36, 000, 000 that the county could not afford to pay, became a $400,000 settlement forced on Steven so he could pay attorney fees. The whole thing makes me sick and there are a bunch of sick individuals that work for the government that you can clearly see being caught in lies by attorneys. You people that make silly claims, watch both seasons and it will be all very clear what happened there.
Shaun L 1 month ago Only in America would Brendan dassey be convicted. Absolute farce and beyond embarrassing that a jury convicted him after seeing what Michael o Kelly forced him to "confess" too. Weight and Fassbender also desperately tried for 4 hours to get dassey to say Teresa had been shot in the head because it wasnt public knowledge so if dassey said it then he had to have been there. They continuously try and coerce him into saying something happened to her head and dassey keeps trying to guess and never gets it right until one of the cops loses patience and blurts out she was shot. The whole thing was an absolute farce from start to finish. Unfortunately for dassey he lives in a country run by the most corrupt organisation the world has ever seen

Netflix and the documentarians behind Making A Murderer are being sued for defamation. On Monday (December 17), former Manitowoc County police sergeant Andrew Colburn filed a suit against the streaming service, as well as filmmakers Laura Ricciardi and Moira Demos, at the Manitowoc County circuit court. He is claiming that the true crime series wrongfully accused him of framing Steven Avery and Brendan Dassey for Teresa Halbach’s murder, by suggesting he planted key evidence at the Avery salvage yard.
'Making A Murderer': Steven Avery's Lawyer Is About To File Papers That Could Change Everything
Staunch defenders of Steven Avery, the man convicted of the 2005 murder of Teresa Halbach and whose trial was made famous by Making A Murderer, will be given a big boost this week when his lawyer Kathleen Zellner files a huge document aimed at securing Avery's release. The filing of the appellate brief will come on 20 December, and it is massive. "We’ve got a record that’s 22,000 pages," Zellner told OK!. The appellate brief is a document which outlines all the reasons Avery should win his appeal, with the aim of persuading judges that there's enough evidence to overturn the decision of the Sheboygan County Circuit Court not to overturn Avery's conviction.
