It will be a brilliant race for sure, and I will be napping SCEAU ROYAL and backed him with some of my £5 free bets for this race (12/1 e/w 3 places ) and the Queen Mother Champion Chase (25/1 e/w) before he ran in Schloer Chase. I think SCEAU ROYAL is the fastest jumper I've seen and Sandown has more fences per circuit than any other track (except Aintree National course as far as I know. I know ALTIOR is unbeaten, but i really think 2 miles is too sharp for him now. The Sandown hill will help him for sure, but I'm just hoping my horse will be far enough ahead after last to not get caught.

Not to put off anyone backing UN DE SCEAUX, but I can't see him lasting home, so I've gone for the FORECAST ALTIOR to win and either SAINT CALVADOS or SCEAU ROYAL to be second.
If UN DE SCEAUX wins, I'll eat my hate, mind you, I have eaten a few before. :=)
I've had a £50 free bet on SAINT CALVADOS (Didn't do ALTIOR as there is no stake back with the free bet and I have him in the straight forcasts as long as UN DE SCEAUX doesn't scupper the plan.

SAINT CALVADOS at only 5 years old, ran creditably getting back up to peg SCEAU ROYAL for 3rd, and better times will hopefully be ahead for HARRY WHITTINGTTON's stable star.
The first two, particularly ALTIOR are VERY GOOD horses.
As I thought ..... too SOFT for SCEAU ROYAL, and sadly didn't hang on for 3rd for my e/w ante-post bet..... sigh . The first two were very very good though.
