** 2019 JACKPOT SYNDICATE NAPS LEAGUE **

StayOrGoStayOrGo Member Posts: 12,182
Hi guys.

Following on from discussions with Vaigret and other members we will be doing things slightly different next year.

We will only cover the festivals and people will enter 7 NAPS each day (one for each of the first 7 races, only six selections if a six race card)

This will still hopefully mean lots of horses to NAP, but in a more "concentrated" way which should hopefully be better for NAPSTERS and ADMIN alike.

We will then have "FESTIVAL CHAMPIONS" for the various different festivals and an over-all yearly league table. The monthly league table will be replaced by a "FESTIVAL LEAGUE TABLE" and there will be one for each "Festival"

Vaigret and I will decide together what constitutes a Festival and will notify you guys in plenty off time.

The 70% rule will still apply.

Please post here no later than 30th December if you wish to participate and whether you expect to post NAPS more than 70% of the time.

I will then set the sheet up accordingly.

All the best for 2019 on and off the turf.

Cheers,

G

Graham here are the Festivals with the time span, you might want to exclude some or combine others for example the 2 single days in October count as one comp. Also 2 days Christmas at Kempton plus Welsh National day.

    Thanks for this V.

I think we should do the one's that I have highlighted in bold.

    What do you think?

Ok with ones you highlighted but would add

    JumpNov 3 The Open Cheltenham
JumpNov 3 Bet365 Hennessy Festival Newbury
JumpDec 2 Winter Festival Kempton Park

to balance flat and jumps a bit and give us something for dark days of winter

OK have added those, how many days are there between the Tingle Creek at Sandown and the Winter Festival at Kempton?

I don't mind doing as you suggest and combine some of the 2 day ones if they are in close proximity to each other time wise (within a week or so)

I am guessing that there is nothing we can call a festival in January or February?

A day or so thats all, would be nice to combine them into one four day festival comp.

As to January nothing we call call a festival but the Trials day at Cheltenham would be a good one to do its on 26th January 2019

OK, we'll combine Tingle Creek and Winter Festival at Kempton.

Would rather not do Trials day at Cheltenham.

I will probably be away, (50th Birthday on 28th Jan)

It's a shame to miss the KING GEORGE at Ascot, so maybe we'll do that one too?

My original plan was not to do the two day ones unless we can combine them, but think we have to cover the five CLASSICS.

    Cheers,

No problem. Looks like a good goer.

Do you want to invite anybody else or keep it to our normal crew.

Also Scoop6 over £1million for next Saturday. Wonder if we are game for it

    Hi V.

I don't mind inviting others as long as they are going to last the course as removing/adding people to the auto created league tables can be problematic.

Yes nice roll over for the SCOOP6 but won't be making an attempt as I would probably want to stake more than we could muster together.

GL to anyone that takes a crack at it.
