I'd never seen it before, & it was quite a shock - the pictured Driver is my Dad, who died over 35 years ago. The chances of finding that photo must be astronomical.
Here's a link, his name was Jimmy Kendall;
Wow at finding that, I'm made up here.
Great find, the site you link has actually had a malware attack around the time you posted...

voice of reason eh , that,s never been said about me thank you i failed miserably with all the sats i played but got into the freezeout first time good score for me great write ups again thank you
Was great to see @Markycash run deep, he was there or thereabouts all Tourney, but faded at the end, but 6th was handy enough. It was his first game back after a 3 month absence. I watched him throughout, & it was the usual Markycash stuff, getting it in bad with deleterious matter such as 2-2-2-9 ("I had wheel blockers"), 3-3-3-8 & general assorted rubbish. Worst PLO8 player I've ever seen. But I love him.
In 5th was @ivydrive who won the PLO8 in the last UKOPS iirc. Good player, & an Ice Hockey fan if I'm not mistaken.
Yet another deep run - 4th this time - for @Mattsmum, whilst it was great to see Tuney aka @Enut in 3rd, what an effort that was.
1st & 2nd went to players more usually associated with NLH - @chicknmelt (2nd) with the win going to cash game specialist @alancarr12.
I am indeed an ice hockey fan. Season ticket holder at Cardiff Devils Im impressed at your knowledge.
I did indeed win the last UKOPS PLO8 tourney. Was frustrated not to go to back to back but i guess back to back Final tables isn't too back. "
I used to go along to The Racers a lot, Cardiff always a tough side, not been following it much lately but some friends still go along religiously Many moons ago (Tony and Paul Hand were still in our team) I was at Wembley for the finals, from what I can vaguely remember through a haze of beer I had a great time
Love the post Tikay. Great pictures of your dad which you had never seen, a big surprise for you. Bonomo has been awesome this calender year, he is like a meer cat at the table compared to other players who like to hide away. Polyamory , interesting, all male event i'm sure. Pink hair he had at a WSOP final table. My fav final table of his is the one in Monte Carlo vs Tobias Rankemier. Happy new year Tikay. Best regards Danny

@HENDRIK62 I remember the Racers! A lot of politics up in the Edinburgh hockey scene lately which sadly saw the demise of the Caps & potential rebirth of the Racers shot down. Good to hear i'm not alone. Devils used to do very well through the 90s, took a few years off through the 00's but are back now with league championships the past 2 seasons and sitting top again this year. You should get out and watch a game again although the on Ice action will be dull compared to pantomime we used to enjoy with the sport. More a speed and skill game these days sadly.
Just wanted to thank those who commented on the photo of my Dad which I had stumbled upon by chance.
He has been gone almost 40 years, & that photo was taken, in my estimation, between 45 & 50 years ago, so it was a million to one chance that I would happen to find it by pure luck.
For railway geeks, the photo was clearly taken at Paddington, & his train was on either Platform 2 or Platform 4. The likely destination was Plymouth, which was as far as London-based GWR drivers used to go in those days.

@Ivydrive Year before last I did a sponsorship deal with Caps to let the imports play golf with us through the hockey season. Caught a few games, was somewhat dissapointed there were no Chris Kelland 'gloves off' moments......
