When Ronnie O'Sullivan reached his 1,000th century break in tournament snooker recently, it got me thinking.
That was pretty impressive, especially as he is still banging them in at a fair old rate at the age of 43.
Is that the most impressive milestone or achievement by any British sports man or woman?
Others that spring to mind;
A P McCoy riding 4,358 winners & 20 straight Jump Jockey's Championships?
Phil Taylor, 16 World Darts Championships, including 8 on the bounce?
Lewis Hamilton's 5 World Championships?
Any others?

There's obviously winning the World Cup in 1966 ...... though it definitely helped having Home advantage
Dont think Misty fits into that category .
Some great shouts there.
Anyone remember a bloke called David Bryant, who used to be the GOAT at Bowls? Won the lot, everything, for about 10 years.

Not sure I ever saw him without a pipe in his mouth. Very rare to see a pipe-smoker these days. He was all very avuncular.
His football skills, or perhaps mixing them up?
Or just all round sporting ability?
Not sure if you would include Alex Ferguson.
Footballers. Pele, Messi, Ronaldo.
Ian Botham, Alastair Cook, Gary Sobers, Viv Richards.
Schumacher.
All of whom proved themselves over a long period.
Pipe and Botham both excellent shouts.

Mo Farah, Gareth Edwards, Gordon Richards, Henry Cecil,
However if she cancels the vote, or she loses, she will have to ask for a long extension.
Once we have a long extension, anything can happen.
