< And finally, nobody is talking about his Chinese wife (who he once referred to as Japanese) Talk about sleeping with the enemy.
What utter nonsense.
Do you wish to live in some strange far-right world where no-one ever sleeps with anyone outside their race? How sad.
Your American hero, Donald Trump. clearly has a thing for Eastern European, Slavic, models, judging by his first wife (Ivana Zulnickova) and his current wife, Melania Trump (nee Knauss). Can't stand the man personally, but would never knock him for his choice of wives. Good luck to him on that score.
Nigel Farage's 2 youngest children speak fluent German and have German passports. His last Partner was French. Again, can't stand the man, but would never knock who he chooses as wives/partners, and never based on race.
"Sleeping with the enemy" indeed. You should start some nonsense conspiracy thread...
Funny its you bringing up the race issue. Typical lefty. I never mentioned it once.
You really believe the bolded bit isn't racist? I pity you.
Getting back to the original thread, I think Boris is bound to win, simply because Hunt was originally a Remainer.
There is no middle ground with Aleaxander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson. He will not be bland or mediocre. There is a chance he could be brilliant. There is also a distinct possibility that he could ruin his Party, the country, or both.
There are question marks on some of the voting during the leadership campaign, but he looks nailed on to win. It would seem that only a self inflicted disaster can stop him. Nobody could ever accuse him of being consistent. It would appear that the majority of the Tory members have already decided to vote for him, and are expected to return their ballots papers next week, and therefore make the rest of the campaign a complete waste of time.
If he sticks to his guns, it may well end up as a particularly short Premiership.
Pity accepted, thank you. I agree with the rest of your post above. Don't like either of them but i think it will be a short term post prior to a General Election, then who knows what will happen.
Sir Alan Duncan calls Boris Johnson a 'circus act' unfit to govern the country
A foreign office minister has suggested Boris Johnson is not fit to be Prime Minister as he described him as “circus act”. Sir Alan Duncan, who worked closely with Mr Johnson while he was foreign secretary, said allegations that he had described the French as “turds” raises “the serious point of the difference between the two candidates that are trying to become Prime Minister”. "You can have a circus act or a really serious person who does do detail and is respected in other countries and will be taken seriously in discussions on whatever topic," he told the Today Programme. Mr Johnson’s comments were allegedly made in a fly-on-the-wall documentary by the BBC, but were apparently removed at the request of his team, over concerns it could impact diplomatic relations, according to the Daily Mail.

Boris Johnson 'wants new taxpayer-funded bed for No 10' - despite £830k earnings Boris Johnson allegedly told Downing Street officials he "didn't have any stuff" because his furniture is still with estranged wife Marina Wheeler
He has allegedly told Downing Street officials he will need a new bed - among other items - for the PM's official flat. It is thought most of his furniture is still in the hands of estranged wife Marina Wheeler at their former marital home. And new girlfriend Carrie Symonds isn't allowing any of her furniture to go to Downing Street - including the wine-stained sofa that was at the centre of their recent domestic dispute. A Downing Street source told the Mail on Sunday about Mr Johnson's furniture requests: "We were very surprised as he is not exactly a poor man, is he? His bill is quite toppy."
Mr Johnson, who has pocketed over £830,000 since resigning as Foreign Secretary a year ago, faced demands to reveal how much of taxpayers' money had been spent.
