I'm not ....... I just want us to control our borders, and not be beholden to the EU, but to still have close ties ..... 'The Cherry & the Bun' or as close to it as possible. We managed to keep the £pound after all.

How do you control our borders when there will not be one in Ireland, and 450 million EU citizens have the right to travel to Ireland, and catch a bus over the border into Northern Ireland into the UK?
Border control without borders is just a silly thought.
The current Government are in negotiations with Australia and New Zealand over freedom of movement with them.
Maybe just the start?
The Labour Party voted at their conference to retain freedom of movement with the EU, after we have left.

We were never, ever, ever, in danger of losing the pound. Although we would have been better off with Euros since the referendum.

I hope you managed to put some of the 'HAYSIE ££millions' into Euros and $$Dollars, most shrewd people with money would have done, especially if they were planning on going abroad
W do need a border somewhere, in some form, to go ahead with Brexit, and in my humble opinion, I think the Irish Sea option is best (sorry to my Northern Irish Protestant friends, who could get a British Passports for ease of travel to and from the mainland).
I haven't enough time to research it as thoroughly as you in your retirement, but I think our politicians and Leaders (and Civil Servants), Boris, Dominic Raab especially, George Eustice (Camborne MP and dealing with the Agriculture & Fisheries policy) and even Mr Farage, who are backing Brexit, have a very good understanding (maybe even more than you) of what's required to deliver what the majority of the population voted for in the referendum
