Coronavirus: Nadine Dorries accused of spreading fake news over Italy's treatment of patients
Health Minister Nadine Dorries has been accused by the Italian embassy in the UK of spreading fake news about coronavirus after claiming that Italy had stopped intubating patients over 60. In a now-deleted tweet, Dorries wrote: “Sobering @itvnews Italy has stopped intubating patients over 60. “All ICU patients on ventilators are below 60 and not one has been weaned back off to breathe independently. We must follow the advice on social distancing if we are to crack this #coronavirus.”
But in response to the message, the Italian Embassy in the UK tweeted: “@NadineDorries this is Fake News. We urge you to deny it immediately. “Italian Health System staff have been working round the clock to save “all” human lives”.

SAS: Who Dares Wins star Ant Middleton has sparked a backlash after saying people need to “calm the f*** down” about the coronavirus pandemic. The TV star shared a string of videos on social media saying that the coronavirus is not a threat to people like him who are young, fit and healthy, and that he is getting on with his life as usual. He told fans that although those who are vulnerable should follow the advice, self-isolate and need to be protected, those who are young and healthy should not be so worried. This is in direct contradiction to the current advice from the NHS that says “staying at home can help stop coronavirus spreading”. Chief Medical Officer for England Professor Chris Witty in a science journalist briefing said yesterday: "People who end up dying tend to be quite elderly or have previous health conditions. Some young people have ended up in intensive care [worldwide]. “We don’t want to give the impression every single young person will breeze through this. Some young people will have severe disease [even though they are healthy]. This is not a trivial infection even if they are a young adult.”

Test the frontline workers for the virus👍 I’d suggest the “ test test test” is to cover the a rses of a few. I’d suggest that would be impossible to do, and certain folk know that, as you would need to test everybody in the world at exactly the same time, otherwise that would defeat the object of the exercise. Or seal your borders, no one in or out, test everybody every day.
Wanted to be a rock producer,so likes to have folk dance to his tune. Once took £8M from his enterprises and gave it to his charities, well done, but what happened next? Receives all that income from different pies, and the taxpayer ( I know he’s entitled to it) yet is reported to command a £200k fee for a talk? It’s disgraceful of me to have anything out of the Independent, but I think most are factually correct? And possibly before the Russians moved in, not checked, can’t be a rsed . Maybe he’s bothered about his families extensive property portfolio? Maybe he’s just been told of the benefits he’s due👀😱 Who knows why he was getting so emotional 🤷♂️
