Who won what on UKOPS Day 5, TUESDAY

Tikay10Tikay10 Member, Administrator, Moderator Posts: 172,012

Morning.

Yesterday I mused that virus deaths may have passed their peak, after 2 days of decline, but sadly the numbers came in higher. The long-term trend is definitely slowing though. We need to try to be positive, this thing will pass eventually, as we are starting to see across the globe. Meanwhile, poker continues to be a bitter-sweet beneficiary,

UKOPS guarantees last night were £61,000, prize pools at £83,100 exceeding that by 33%. Much less frothy than at the weekend, but numbers Sky Poker would have bitten their hand off for a few weeks ago.

    UKOPS 26 £4,000 Bounty Hunter (£6,920)

    The opener did very well again, as it has every night.

    dakky took the win, that's 2 wins in successive nights as he took down Sheriff on Monday.

    Runner-up FLASHJONNY has UKOPS history, he won a UKOPS Mini last November. Whenever I see that alias, I can't help but be reminded of Flash's fabulous entrance in Blackadder. Rik Mayall is much missed.

    @dakky 1038000 1 £873.65 + £176.82 Head Prizes 5

    @FLASHJONNY 0 2 £508.62 + £184.32 Head Prizes 9

    @darsum333 0 3 £307.94 + £50.15 Head Prizes 4

    @DS5 0 5 £207.60 + £157.27 Head Prizes 12

    UKOPS 27 £20,000 High Roller (£20,800)

    This was a great watch. I rarely "watch" online poker, but with no sport on TV habits need to change.

    It eventually went to d0wn5wing, who I'm told was at the last SPT, but I'm afraid I don't recall seeing him. Having said that I can't even recall if I was there.

    2nd was damhawk07, his 2nd UKOPS FT of the series & easily his best ever score on Sky Poker. He qualified via a £48 satellite, so that's a pretty solid ROI, & avian landed in 3rd.

    I thought the globe-trotting style2737 was going to win this, he was prominent throughout, took a hit a few tables out then fought back. Back in the day he was amongst the biggest cash game players on Sky Poker, & was a regular on Top of the Pots on the TV show. As an aside, I was looking on You Tube for a Poker video & came across one with the subject title of Total Moron Gets Rewarded. Honestly, I thought the days when we described players like that were long gone. Poker remains in the dark ages.

    Melty was another who looked in with a chance after being mid-field earlier, then slowly edging closer to the top.

    Dog Bloke suddenly took the lead at one point, only to drop back down with equal speed, eventually finishing 12th.

    destinycod just scraped into the money for Team MII.

    Chris Brammer graced us with his presence & for a while it looked like he might figure, then took a hit, bounced back, then eventually busto'd. Good to see him here though.

    UKOPS 28 £20,000 Bounty Hunter (£26,900)

    It's not often that there are back to back £20,000 events on Sky Poker but this was the case last night. The High Roller barely fell across the line, but the Main was a BH so it swept the guarantee aside with ease. Fun times for poker, but after we log off we switch on the news & reality slaps us round the chops.

    Over £4,500 went to the winner, lyonsbob06, who is a veteran of Sky Poker overseas trips to both Las Vegas & Punta Cana.

    It was so nearly a 2nd UKOPS win of the series for kapowblamz, who took down UKOPS 05 on Friday. It was not his only score of the night either.

    Some night for d0wn5wing, won the High Roller for around 6 bags & added another 2 here.

    @lyonsbob06 2690000 1 £3564.25 + £984.89 Head Prizes 9

    @kapowblamz 0 2 £2125.10 + £275.54 Head Prizes 5

    @d0wn5wing 0 3 £1277.75 + £851.07 Head Prizes 8

    UKOPS 29 £5,000 Mini Bounty Hunter (£11,210)

    Yet another 5 figure Mini, and it had 800+ entries.

    THEROCK573 took the honours. Low-profile, but been here since the site began. Was just above break-even until around 2011, since when his graph has just gone up & up. THEROCK used to be quite passive, but now he's much boulder.

    Thrilled to see WACKO90 in 3rd, well done Dave. He's been with us in Vegas on at least 2 occasions, & is a smashing fella.

    The serial-cashee gac123 was 4th, with K0BAYASHl 5th.

    @THEROCK573 3363000 1 £1317.17 + £238.06 Head Prizes 15

    @blablabla 0 2 £703.43 + £84.87 Head Prizes 8

    UKOPS 30 £4,000 Mega Stack B/Hunter (£6,060)

    KFitzy2 ran 3rd in UKOPS 17 on Sunday but took this one down safely.

    MAXALLY enjoyed his best score of this UKOPS series, & had one of those hands you remember for the rest of your life - Aces v Kings v Queens. He was followed across the line by tomgoodun, forever self-deprecating but in reality quite a beast at the tables.

    @KFitzy2 3030000 1 £790.83 + £404.48 Head Prizes 16

    @Jscorgie 0 2 £466.62 + £99.82 Head Prizes 8

    Joec523 has very low MTT volume here but plays a lot of the big buck stuff.

    Terrific effort by Lightwood in 2nd.

    UKOPS 32 £3,000 Hyper Bounty Hunter (£3,920)

    One for the "stopped clock" department here, as I wrote this on Tuesday after Gambelo won Quickdraw;

    "Winner Gambelo is better known for his UKOPS CV, in the Xmas version he had 6 cashes & 3 FT's. He'll make a UKOPS Final this time round too, mark my words".

    Well he not only made a Final, he won it. Bravo Gambelo.

    Pick of the rest was surely Everton fan Toffeeandy.

    £3,000 Bounty Hunter (£4,200)

    mcg899 has been subdued of late by his impressive standards but he bounced back here with a terrific win.

    kapowblamz, 2nd in the Main for £2,400 added another £345 here.

    In 5th was the in-form Alvez, who won the Main exactly a week earlier, & has made UKOPS FT's in 4 of the 5 days so far.

    nottoofar went all the way, adding £420 to add to the £2,700 he collected for running 2nd in Saturday's UKOPS Main.

    3rd was Summers119, and it was a 2nd FT of the evening for gac123.

    £1,500 Quickdraw (£1,950)

    BooBooTheB won Midnight Express in February, & I think this was his first headline MTT win since.

    Runner-up miniman88 won Monday's Main, but this result will not count towards the Team Sidebet Challenge for the Moan It In crew.

    That's it for Day 5.

    I do hope you are not getting too down about the current situation away from poker.

    Here's a bit of music to cheer us all up, with the oddly appropriate title of Something Changed.

    "Boulder"? "Boulder"!

    You should be ashamed. And proud. In equal measure.

    Good Afternoon

    Thanks for the mention , it’s been a target of mine to be on the ft of one of these , ofc I had to get lucky umpteen times whilst playing on same table as groggy, mattbates,miniman etc etc, good old luck 😊
    Was really nice to see Maxally being so gracious when rivered on the ft, well played.

    Special thanks to my good lady who makes me play poker every evening in these testing times 😉

    I may play that wonderful PL08 tournament later ( please be a bh)
