GL with this - I think i cope quite well with tilt although it always seems to creep in now and again. (sometimes without me realising)
I,m currently listening to The Mental Game of Poker by Jared Tendler on Audiobooks. Its definitely helping. I,ve had the paperback for years but struggle with to concentrate on reading but i,d say its worth a read/listen
For now though i,d be taking regular breaks - Even its 5 or 10 mins an hour .
I,d also put aside a fraction of your pokertime to spend learning more about the game
That's a really neat summary of where you are at, nice & easy on the eye & easy to understand.
Solid start, too.
Yes, Thanks. I tried to include as much as I could when creating my spreadsheet. Hopefully no errors with any formula etc, are discovered down the line.

Thanks for the comments.
Yes, I feel my play does not generally suffer as a result of tilt. It's more of a moving up limits to chase a series of losses that occur very quickly. Don't get me wrong, on occasion, after moving up, I have won a lot of money in the process. But usually ends in disaster.
Cheers for the suggestions. I shall perhaps look into it. And I usually tend to open up a bunch of tournaments and play them all to finish, sometimes adding in a few more as I bust in some. Then take a break. Depending how much free time I have will depend how long I play each session for.
In the past I did dedicate a lot of time into reading articles and strategy guides and reading forum posts (remember, I was always a lurker on these types of sites). I am not much of a reader of books, so I guess a lot of my poker is instinctual after playing in so many hands, and I think I understand most of the basics pretty well which generally steads pretty well when it comes to playing solid poker.
There were times during yesterday, it seemed I just could not win a flip or lost to 2-outers. Those are the breaks I guess. My attempts at the £1,000 Reward Freeroll and Sunday Major 3 Seat Satellite resulted in no returns.
Speaking of which, are there any other times of the week where other freerolls run, similar to the Sunday Major Satellite from last night? It was only by luck I noticed it in the lobby.
I created a spreadsheet for the purpose of recording this challenge. I would usually have used PokerTracker but that cannot be used with SkyPoker.
In the spreadsheet just a few entries are needed and the rest is done automatically. I am happy to share it with the forum if that is something anyone is interested in, and of course if it is not against any rules, although, as I am a novice at spreadsheets and basically searched on google to find out how to do what I wanted, there may be some errors etc in it. But seems to be pretty accurate so far.
Here is another update. I have included some targets and goals to keep track of. I hope they don't make this and future posts too long and boring. And if anyone has any suggestions on other targets or goals to include, please let me know.
STARTING BR: £150 PROFIT: £69.80 CURRENT BR: £219.80
Because I can only generally play MTTs on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday or Sunday evenings (and Mondays until my pub poker league resumes) Like yesterday, I played the two freeroll MTT. I finished 145th in the £1,000 reward freeroll for £2. Better than nothing. So, until I build my BR a bit further, I will only be playing freeroll MTTs. I am concentrating on DYM for the timebeing.
Also, I was very close to giving up this challenge already, but documenting it saved me from doing so by being so determined not to fail you all so quickly. I went through a phase today where I only won 5 DYM from 18, losing all sorts of infuriating hands. I was even thinking about doing something I have never ever done before in the past. I was going to drop down in levels to try build my confidence a bit. However, just as I was contemplating this, I then went on a run of winning 20 from 26 to end the night a bit in profit -- and almost at peak as well!!

Well, because I was so disheartened yesterday with the session I played before work, I did not even play any more after or care to update this thread until later today.
My run of cards have just been awful. I even played some $1 DYM to maybe try and change the results for the better. That didn't even help. Okay, maybe I wasn't playing my A-Game, but I was not playing that badly for the most part. Just seems a **** of a lot of bad variance coming my way recently. And if it wasn't for this diary, I would have given up long before now. Maybe there is a huge leak in my game, however, I do feel I get my chips in good the majority of the time and these cooler hands have been coming thick and fast. I lost over 3 times more than I won yesterday - which is very, very poor!
Anyway, the good news is, I am still in profit overall from the start of the challenge. and that is how I am thinking at the moment and hopefully when I play again later this evening will end in a more positive way.

Ok, this is something I really didn't want to say. But... I have decided to end this particular challenge for the time-being. Results were just not going my way and I admit, I did tilt a little (for the better, for a change)
However, my ending BR (without any tilt included) finished on £172.70. So still in profit overall. To change it up a little before taking a break from the grind, I will play the midnight express £22 bounty hunter with the spare change above my starting BR. I will withdraw any winnings from this tournament and any of my BR above my starting BR. I will take a few days off, reeavulate my plan, and restart perhaps after the weekend. Maybe look over some of my hand histories from the last few days, and tweak my spreadsheet to fix any issues that I have discovered since recording my results.
Sorry to disappoint anyone who has been following this thread. I am ashamed at myself for basically failing so quickly. If I am honest, it really isn't anything unusual in that respect but I can look on the bright side and remember that I have still profited from this venture and I managed to quit before losing the whole lot, which rarely happens.
Thanks for your support and, in the words of Arnie; "I'll Be Bach"
