Thanks for organising all this. I haven't been on here that long but tbh had enough of the all in brigade and Sky BeachBaby Bots. That coupled with the daylight robbery on the casino/games etc makes it a displeasure to play on here. I wish u, ski, stay, Cr and safc good luck for the future but i am out and Sky you can go **** yourselves. Peace
Evening @humblemo04 i get your frustration with the no fold gang when it seems that they hit everything which in PL08 will happen more than NLH. In the long term you need players making those crazy calls. I have no doubt having seen your play you would make profit long term at Sky just got to ride the bad variance until it passes which i'am sure it will. Good Luck hope to see you soon.
Talking of crazy calls this was final table in the 19:18 PL08 tonight. Worst hand preflop won but how many times long term is calls like that going to win? Happy days if players want to make those calls.
Beachbaby bot here. I glad people don’t like the way I play. It unsettles people. I flopped a set. Mo flopped a straight draw. He called my pot bet and hit his straight. I called his pot bet and hit my house draw. I don’t see the problem. Sour grapes in my opinion
No problem your type of Poker is fully sustainable especially on here and Sky rewards its Bots. No sour grapes just bored of seeing the same **** day in day out. Adios
What is it with people and bots? It is a way of saying it’s not my fault I lost. We all lose to better players, we all lose to worse players, we all lose because we were unlucky, we all win because we were lucky. Sometimes we lose on tilt, sometimes we win when the opposition is on tilt. The end of the day we are playing for a few pounds. None is going to retire on their winnings (except ski if you believe what he tells you)! I thought we were playing for the fun and thrill of winning. If you want to believe in bots swear at sky (as if they’re bothered) and flounce off down the road then fine. Sleep on it, come back tomorrow with a smile on your face and whoop somebody’s **** (hopefully not mine) but for gods sake enjoy it. If you don’t pack in for good.
The PLO8 community on Sky is a really good one thanks to the efforts of people like @coo1-um and the like. We have a good amount of banter at the tables and, with only a couple of exceptions, it's generally all in good spirit.
@humblemo04 if you want to play games where you don't get outdrawn or beaten by worse hands then PLO8 is not for you. Take the hand @safc71 posted above, he has double suited aces, AA48, that's a very, very good hand, one of the best, but because everybody piled in his pre flop equity was 43%, still nice and you'd take that every day in a 4 way pot. The hand that ended up winning by the way had 24% equity pre and was second favourite, with K997! (mainly due to card removal, it is generally not a good hand in PLO8).
PLO8 is an amazing game, one where you can have the best possible starting hand and not be too much of a favourite and be flopped dead by one of the worst hands in the game, or you can have one of the worst possible hands eg dealt quad 3's and be a stone cold cert, even pre flop, when your opponent has quad 2s!
Take a step back, regroup and join us again another evening, I hope you run well.
Good Morning Agree with Paul above , his is the voice of experience ( lots of experience 😉)
@coo1-um is doing a great job with the league and other stuff ( fantasy PL08 anyone?) Oh , have I missed last nights results on the thread coolio ? 😉 Let’s not go down the road of ‘ rigged’ and ‘ bots’.
Cheers @Enut for commenting on that hand i posted. Agree with your comments the reason i posted the hand was to explain that although i got beat i still want those calls. Noticed a couple of players lately not happy about getting beat with poor hands preflop i have tried to explain to them that why would you not want them to make the call. Think long term not just one hand or one bad week/month. Embrace it don't hate it
I agree with all above. I’m not trying to cause trouble here. Just trying to say what you have all put much better than me. If you think somebody is a poor player. Stick around. You might lose the odd battle but you’ll win the war.

The morning after the night before!
The point I obviously badly made is: that play risks the majority of your chips on the turn of 1 card when you know your already behind.
That I can accept players including myself make dumb moves all the time that in hindsight they wished they had not. The issue is lately that this seems to get rewarded in the majority of similar situations. This in turn encourages suspect play by others as they too feel they will benefit and then your sat on a table of 6 where 4 players are thinking Any 4 will do and they are right!
The other comments are helpful and I fully agree with the arguments made and I am not looking to upset the apple cart so if offence caused to anyone apologies. As hopefully a player of close to average ability I expect to lose more than win but for me that's not what it is about, as you said we are playing for a few pounds only. Just when hands that are behind pre-flop or post-flop consistently seem to win (and I don't just refer to it happening to myself) it becomes plainly boring.
Anyway having said all of that I should kept my initial thoughts to myself

You make a very good point and I did think I was behind..I did however have top set. If you had a lower set then you were drawing to 1 card. If you had made your straight( which you had) I was drawing to 10 cards for the nuts. There was no low draw and no flush draw. Had I have lost I still had 2.5K in chips. Not an ideal amount but manageable. I thought it was a risk worth taking. Throw into this that the next time you meet that player they will be tilting to get you. It is worth the risk.
Anyway enough about that. Come back and play and run well.
